Boccieri Meeting!
An unadvertised meeting was held with Congressman Boccieri Monday, August 31 with representatives of the Ashland Tea Party, Canton Tea Party and Medina County Friends And Neighbors (MCFAN). Boccieri maintains that the Constitution does not limit Congress from interfering in the free market economy. He also continues to quote "information" from the World Health Organization (United Nations) which views Cuba's health care system as being as good as our own. We tried to talk sense into him for an hour and a half primarily on the Nationalized Health Care bill. We encouraged him to throw HR 3200 out and start over with a blank sheet of paper. He came close to committing to vote against legislation that was bad for his district, even if he had to go against his own party's leadership.
