Morning MCFAN Meeting (9:00 - 11:00 am) -----
All are welcome to attend the MCFAN morning meeting at the Thirsty Cowboy (2743 Medina Road) prior to the afternoon workshop, which will be a few doors down in the same plaza at 2771 Medina Road.
Special guests include Tom Hach from the Ohio School Board Constitutional Coalition, and Laura Zorc, President of Best In Ed, and former National Director of Education Reform of FreedomWorks.
Laura will share the impact that school boards are having on education reform within our public schools and how the role of a school board member is crucial to the transition of power from the US DOE federal bureaucracy to local communities. You will also learn the next steps in dismantling the DOE and how your influence can push Congress to get it done during a Trump administration.
RSVP Here for Afternoon School Board Candidates Leadership Workshop (1:00 -4:00 pm) -----
Medina County Friends and Neighbors (MCFAN), in collaboration with the National School Boards Coalition (NSBC) and Best In Ed, invites you to an upcoming three-hour training session designed to sharpen your campaign messaging skills. This crucial workshop will delve into the key issues and messaging that will define the rest of your campaign.
In this three-hour training session, we will focus on a school board member's roles and responsibilities, as well as how to present yourself as an expert on the campaign trail. While the training primarily aims at 2025 school board candidates, it offers valuable insights for education group leaders and current school board members.
