Emergency Resolved!

The unacceptable language depicted in the following Glenn Beck segment on Friday, July 31 was corrected on Monday, August 3.  We prepared an Emergency Alert on August 3 unaware that the language was being revised, and issued it the morning of August 4. 

On August 4 after the language on the government's Cash for Clunkers site had been revised, Snopes issued a characterization of the reports about the offensive language of the Cash for Clunkers site as FALSE, even though a copy of the offensive language was embedded in their explanation and their explanation included the note that the language had been revised after the Glenn Beck program had aired.

Snopes has been criticized by some for having characterized as FALSE rumors that candidate Barack Obama had made various statements, even though videos of those statements were in the public domain and generally available on sites such as YouTube.  A potentially less biased source of rumor verification, www.truthorfiction.com refused to characterize as either TRUE or FALSE the rumor that Snopes was biased in favor of the current occupant of the White House.

To those of you who may have contacted your legislators only to find out that the problem had already been addressed, we extend our thanks.  Discoveries like this by Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and the entire host of other "Talk Show" or balanced media hosts would be meaningless if it were not for the fear of the rapid and massive response of the Silent Majority who have become Silent No More.  We have no doubt that it was the fear of your response that resulted in the government correcting the offensive language so rapidly.  The government is not customarily responsive, or rapid.

US Representative Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota.) has introduced new legislation (The Taxpayer Protection and Anti-Fraud Act) that would prevent federal government funding of “community activist” groups (think ACORN) that have previous indictments.  Here’s more information on the legislation:

This doesn’t solve the ever encroaching socialism and collectivism that currently envelops Washington, but it’s a great start.

when a CNN reporter repeatedly baited interviewees with hostile, accusatory questions and then pulled the microphone back so that their responses could not be heard, only to leap forward again with another thrust of the microphone and another interrogatory assault.  At least one of the people she "interviewed" was so horrible that he was actually carrying a live little girl who had not been aborted.

 The "mainstream media" spent much of the day trying to paint us as partisan radicals,

and ended up only "outing" themselves as partisan radical propagandists and elitists.
