State Sovereignty Petitio
What's Changed on this website since the last time you were here?

March 8
We updated the Donate page to reflect the Cav's raffle.

Most of our recent updates have been to the Home page, usually not recorded in this Change Log.  Several major efforts have been under way lately due to the primaries, including collecting signatures to get Seth Morgan, Steve Christopher and Chip Miller on the ballot.  All petition drives needed a final push, but were successful.  Unfortunately, Miller did not meet the residency requirements, so he will not be on the ballot.  See the Home page for the latest update on the Christopher race.

At the bottom of the Grassroots 101 page under our Take Action! section, we have hyperlinked 4 training documents from the conservative Leadership Institute on grassroots activism; organization building, coalition building, petition drives (we've done a bit of that lately) and Delivering a Message.  Read them all, and then come join us for your internship.

February 18
Last year in February, we had three events in a month.  This past week, we had three in a single day.  If that weren't enough, we were absolutely slammed by the need to collect signatures to get Patriots on the primary ballot, in order to prevent RINO's from running without opposition.

Nonetheless, there has been some important developments that we have posted to our website, even if a little tardy.  The biggest question right now is the relationship between us and the GOP.  We like Karl Rove's recommendations the best, where he encourages us to remain an independent force like the Right to Life or National Rifle Association.  Read Rove's ideas here.  South Carolina GOP Unites with Tea Party; a different approach.  We think this will end the credibility of the Tea Parties in South Carolina.  Since they will both be in the same vehicle, the only other question is "who will be in the driver's seat"?  Read it here.

What to Say to a Global Warming Advocate?  Believe it or not, there are still plenty of them out there.  We will never convince the statists because their goal is not to protect the environment, but to shift power and wealth to the government ... with them in charge, of course.  But we need to convince the less informed members of the public, and either get this stuff out of our High School classrooms or get the debunking information in. Read it here.  Also read the Great Global Warming Collapse.  The floor is falling out from under the advocates of Cap & Trade, even as Ohio sets new records for snowfall (previous record set two years ago).  Read it here.  Owl Gore, call the office!
The Global Warming Chief Scientist Admits - No Global Warming Since 1995.  The exposure of the Global Warming Hoax as just that continues.  Has anyone spotted Owl Gore lately?  During the record cold this past month he has proved as elusive as Osama Bin Laden.  Read it here.

Judicial Watch Announces List of Washington's "Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians" for 2009,

Here is the list.

Two of the top fellows engineered the collapse of the government guaranteed mortgages that triggered the financial crisis.  Surprise, surprise.

How the Plaintiff's Bar Bought the Senate; a

t one time most legislators were farmers, and naturally they passed laws that would benefit farmers.  Now lawyers infest our legislatures, and they do the same.

Read it here.

CAIR Running out of Hiding Places; this group pretends to be an effort to improve American and Islamic relations.  It is a front group for radical Islam and its terrorists.  Let the sunshine disinfect them.  Read it here.

ACORN Slated to Get Nearly $4 Billion; Cockroaches have been around since the dinosaurs.  ACORN is not dead yet either.  Read the latest here about how you support the Voter Fraud outfit with your tax dollars.

Pfeifer Unopposed in 2006 - and Again in 2010; Ohio Supreme Court Justice Pfeifer is an atrocity on the bench.  He is one of the original "Gang of Four" that opposed Tort Reform, and he is the judge who promoted the idea of "Affirmative Defense"; requiring gun owners to be presumed Guilty until they could prove their innocence.  He runs unopposed as a Republican, because the GOP wants to win, regardless of principles and he is so liberal the Democrats don't want anyone to run against him.  This guy is not a RINO, he is a Triceratops.  Unfortunately after we collected 1550 signatures to get Chip Miller on the ballot to oppose this guy, the Ohio Republican Party leaned on Chip and persuaded him not to run because it might have a negative effect on the other Republican judges running.  Give me a break.  Read our background on Pfeifer here.

Obama espoused Radical Views in College; we're finally getting some info on Obama's college days.  Better late than never?  Read it here.

February 11
Check out our video page.  Even the Rolling Stone magazine now "gets it" about the economic crisis brought to you by our Department of Treasury, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs.

February 10
We have added a link to Sarah Palin's speech to the Home page (as well as the usual new content), and several more on the Update for Nashville page.  We will be renaming that page to Tea Party Convention shortly, and moving it under our Take Action! section for future reference.

We have also added Steve Christopher to our Candidates page, although he has not yet been vetted for the Attorney General's race.

February 8
Many people are now becoming aware of the radical left's efforts to use public schools to politically indoctrinate kids.  It's a basic strategy for "Change" right out of the Communist Manifesto.  We have added it as a link to our Education page for future reference, or you can read here about Obama Organizing for High School.

February 5
We have an "on the scene" report from our delegates to the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville.

We have also added to our Members' Postings What the Obama Budget Reveals.

January 30
We have demoted the special page for the Lorain County Community College to the Take Action! section.  We have copied the videos to our Video's page, and added the video of Obama speaking to his carefully picked audience.  If you missed the State of the Union address, watch this.  Naturally the State of the Union has also been added to our videos page.  For those of you who couldn't listen to the whole thing, there were three items of note:  1) audible laughter from the Republicans when Obama reaffirmed his faith in the global warming hoax, 2) Obama's pre-emptive attack on the Supreme Court and the "That's not true" reaction from Justice Alito and 3) Obama's last minute of the speech where he committed to continuing 2010 in the same fashion as 2009 ... possibly fatally damaging his chances of re-election as well as a host of democrats in Congress.

January 23
Based upon our experience with the Shaker Heights and Lorain County Community College visits by Obama, we have developed a set of tips on how to conduct a protest or demonstration for these appearances.  See the link on our Take Action! page.

January 19
We added the time and other details about the Obama visit onto a separate Obama Town Hall page, right after issuing an announcement to our full statewide & local distro.

We also took down the info about the Scott Brown election since the voting had begun ... and then about 11 PM when the election was one, found ourself a picture of a battleship firing off a broadside toward the Left for our Home Page.

January 18
We have added a new page to provide training on Roberts Rules of Order.  If our experience in '76 and '80 are any indication, people who want to take control of a major political party by running for precinct committeeman need to be able to understand and use Roberts' Rules in meetings and conventions.

We have also added a couple of interesting videos to our Home page, plus the Obama visit announcement and a link to some suggested signs if you are inclined to be present when the President comes.

January 16
Members' postings are updated.  We have a Rand Report - A Stability Police Force for the United States
A solution in search of a problem or a threat to liberty?   Read it here.  Also an Executive Order establishing a Council of Governors.  It appears that the Obama administration is preparing for an armed insurrections within the United States.  Proof that he does not understand America, or Americans.  Read it here.  And last but not least,
Teddy Roosevelt on immigation.  Teddy's view on "diversity".  They would probably ban his views from public school classrooms today.  They're not "politically correct" any more.  Read it here.

January 14
We've been challenged of late just to keep our home page updated with news and our announcments with ... announcements.  Especially since the first of the year, the grassroots are ON FIRE!

We're also having to repost the America Rising video on our Home Page frequently also - the source keeps going away.  The Powers That Be in Washington don't like it.  You know it's good!

We have added numerous new Members' Postings (thanks, everyone!).  America as the Last Man Standing Geert Wilders' assessment of the Muslim takeover of Europe.  We don't have time to deal with this threat now.  But the time is coming.  Read it here.  Failed Presidency  Even democrats are beginning to characterize this as a Failed Presidency.  Of course.  The man is "Not one of us".  He has no knowledge of "America", but what he was taught by America haters.  They paved his every success, and he has never accomplished anything in his life.  Read it here.  Nationalized Health Care bill violates civil rights  Read the letter from the U.S. Civil Rights Commission to Obama and the Senate opposing the racial preferences included in the Nationalized Health Care legislation.  Socialism 101  A basic lesson given by a professor to teach college studinks the inevitable result of socialism.  Read it here.  Census Bureau Warning  Many people are concerned about what they must answer and about what they do not have to.  Read this.  The Real Rules of War A historical perspective from World War II, for those who don't understand.  The ultimate rule of war is that the good guys must win, by eliminating the bad guys.  Read it here.  Minnesota Professor wants K-12 Teachers to Hate America  This has been going on for two generations.  The battle for America is not over until these people have been transferred to North Korea to teach the kids there to hate their government.  Read it here.

December 30
We have added several items to our Party Power and Precinct Organizing pages under the Take Action! tab for the educational benefit of precinct organizers and volunteers.

We have added a new blog from Sarah Palin about the Senate's passage of Nationalized Health Care.

We have posted the deliverable document (Articles of Freedom 12-24-09) from the Continental Congress of 2009 (CC09).  While we had misgivings about this effort we think their recommendations to Congress and the states is worth reading, understanding, and possibly pursuing.  Read it here.

Also, we have posted a number of our Members' offerings:

We are no longer a nation of laws.  The tricksters in the Senate have added language to Nationalized Health Care that will make Section 3403 (the "death panel") unrepealable if passed.  That must not stand, and Harry Reid must not go unpunished for blatant violations of Senate rules and this atrocity.  We are talking about the Senate leader committing treason against the Consent of the Governed.  Read about it here.  The Lawyer's Party.  Interesting facts about how thoroughly the Democrat party is infested with lawyers.  Read it here.  Interpol Sovereignty.  By executive order 12045 Obama removes any restrictions from Interpol over U.S. citizens; even the FBI is required to comply with the law and civil rights, but that is no longer true of Interpol.  Perhaps he thinks that government can deny us the inalienable rights bestowed upon us by our Creator as well.  Perhaps he will find out that Americans are not so docile.  Read it here.  Fifteen Principles of Successful Health Care Reform  by the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention.  Read it here.  And last but not least, The Real Rules of War; An article to clarify some misguided ideals  Read it here.

PCCOH Update
The signatures have been submitted to the Attorney General.  Read about it here.

December 27
We have added the new video "We the People" from Ray Stevens to our video collection, below the flick about the true culprits of the economic crisis and Gingrich's suggestion about impeaching federal judges (requires success in November elections).  Also we have a video of Jon McNaughton about his painting of the picture, One Nation Under God.

We regret having to take down the music from our Home page, but it is time to gear up for 2010.  We buried them at the bottom of our video page for reuse next year.

December 26
Whew!  We have changed the format of our Links section so that the line items don't get out of sync.  In the process we have added many comments and reorganized so that the links are more "user friendly"; with this many links the trick is to organize them so that the link someone wants is easy to find.  We'll be making a second pass at this directly to add some national level links that have recently appeared on our radar screens.  If you know of something that is missing, Contact Us.

December 21
We have updated the home page and the Legislative Watch - US pages with info about the vote in the Senate for cloture, including links to download the 2,457 pages of the Senate bill and its "Manager's Amendments".  Did anyone notice that while Senators were slaving away in the middle of the night the great King Obama was living large celebrating a holiday that he disdains?

We have also added a section derived from the training on precinct organizing provided by the Ohio Liberty Council.  Developed by Warren Edstrom (Columbus Tea Party) and Peter Wolf (Cincinnati Tea Party) and incorporated into our Party Power and Precinct Walking sections, our Take Action section now is about as complete a training course as you will find anywhere on precinct activism.  Further updates are planned as we promote precinct organizing nationwide for the 2010 election.

December 17
We have a number of new postings sent by our members.  Here's one of Republican Senate Majority Leader McConnell's Press Release on the Nationalized Health Care debate that he captions, Completely Reckless, Completely Irresponsible.

Remember when government workers got low pay because they had great benefits, incredible retirement benefits and bullet-proof job security?  Well they now have all those more than ever before, And they are now also getting paid more than people in the private sector ... a lot more.  Read this.

Piracy is alive and well.  Read this Op-Ed from Sarah Palin about the United Nations led effort to use the Global Warming hoax to divvy up the booty, and how the Hoax was perpetrated by a bunch of "scientists" with a political agenda (and an appetite for government grants).

Do you ever wonder about your government or the President?  Learn more about your President here.  Learn more about your federal government here.

We were sent this set of proposals, Reversing the Exodus from Josh Mandel, a candidate for state Treasurer.  We like his ideas

There is no room for the independent judgement of doctors and patients.  Read an example here.

December 16
Barney Frank's pockets aren't lined with enough taxpayer's dollars yet.  He slips a TARP II through the House almost unnoticed.  Read about HR 4173 here.  Our record of the roll call vote is here.  As you can see, Boccieri hasn't changed at all.

We have also added a new documentary film that has been making its way around the internet to our Islam Primer under Members' Postings.  It is disturbing, and we ought to make sure we know exactly where all these training camps are.  More about the "Religion of Peace" where peace comes out of the barrel of an AK-47.

December 13
We have begun to add the Daily Floor Schedule for the U.S. House of Representatives to our Legislative Watch - US page.  Thanks Deb!  And thanks to House Minority Leader Boehner.

We have also added a Video of William Shattner and Sarah Palin.  She is showing that she is not what the Mainstream Media wants everyone to think she is.

December 8
We have added a number of recent blogs from Sarah Palin.

December 2
We are in the process of refreshing our site.  Plan to come back again soon for more updates as we catch up after a week of focused effort to look up everyone's precinct (in Medina County) to help our Coordinator for precinct organizing.  Precinct organizing is our 2nd highest priority of 2010 and leads directly to our top priority; replacing a number of our elected representatives in next November's general election.

Several videos and some pictures have been migrated from the Home page to the Videos and Pictures pages.  New videos have been added to the Home Page, which is being updated now that Obama has finally decided (after months of agonizing) to do what he said he was going to do about Afghanistan last March.  New organizations are still sprouting up and we are adding them to our Links - county organization page.

November 20
We have a number of new postings in addition to our constant update of the Home Page and Announcements.  We have a new picture of Obama giving a final salute to our fallen soldiers at Fort Hood on our Pictures page, which is normally posted with "happy" pictures.  The President's contempt for our servicemen does not make us happy.

We have a number of Members' Posting (usually posted top to bottom, last in at the top unless something urgent and active needs to be kept on top).  We have Stimulus dollars going to Ohio congressional districts that don't exist, a posting about the First Lady's huge roster of servants (no doubt to boost the number of jobs attributable to the Stimulus bill), and a fresh perspective about the Facts on Sarah Palin.

Also there are a number of new Worthwhile Reads.  They include Obama's Czars, a thumbnail sketch of the new radicals running our government, a description of Nancy Pelosi's Nationalized Health Care bill as a "Gift to trial lawyers", and an opinion in the Canada Free Press that America has been taken over by radical dictators without firing a shot.

November 17
We have posted a few new blogs from Sarah Palin, including her reaction to the White House decision to have the master planner of the 9/11 attack tried as an American citizen in New York.  That may mean that he will have at least 20 years to appeal any death penalty, at taxpayer expense.  And of course the media is going after Sarah Palin as she goes public with her book tour, with a viciousness that reminds us of the way they tried to discredit Ronald Reagan.  Just remember how they tried to paint the man who ended the Jimmy Carter Stagflation, ignited our economy for a generation and won the Cold War without firing a shot.

November 13
We have added a new blog entry from Sarah Palin.  Fans of Sarah should check our blog page for new items from her whenever they come to our site; she posts a new entry just about every week and sometimes several.

We have also updated our volunteer opportunities page.  Perhaps of even more interest to some, we have posted a Help Wanted page for the benefit of those with time on their hands and the drive and skills to make things happen.  Glenn Beck says that Ohio is in the lead of the grassroots movement.  Repeatedly we have heard that our own group is the most effective grassroots organization in the state.  So let's see if we can't put together the finances to establish a physical headquarters for the conservative movement in Ohio.

November 12
The State Sovereignty Constitutional Amendment appears ready for a 2nd attempt to get past Secretary of State, Jennifer (ACORN) Bruner to go on the 2010 ballot.  See the info on Worthwhile Reads, as well as on the hyperlinks on the Home Page.  Currently we plan to have petitions available for signature at our Saturday breakfast.

By popular request we have once again begun highlighting some of the most important events on our Home Page, with directions to the Announcments for details.  Please note the Sarah Palin book signings.

In our Members Postings we have added I Am A Conservative, an amusing but true comparison of the differences between a liberal and a Conservative.

November 8
We have added to our Legislative Watch section an annotated version of the official Roll Call vote on HR 3926 (Nationalized Health Care, aka Pelosi's unaffordable Affordable Health Care bill) and on the Stupak Amendment that enabled its passage.

In addition we have added several new blog postings from Sarah Palin.  Personally, we think these should be considered "required reading".  As a thought leader of our movement, she is right up there with Limbaugh, Beck and Levin and far beyond any others of the "political" class; only Huckabee is even close.

November 2
We have added the Rides to DC page to help people find a bus to DC for November 5, responding to Congressman Michelle Bachman's call.  Give Nationalized Health Care a stunning blow.  All aboard!

We have added a video about Nationalized Health Care from Tom Price, GA. Congressman.

October 29
We have added the text of the new House version of the Nationalized Health Care bill, HR 3962 as well as its accompanying document, HR 3961; the former is 1990 pages, the latter is another 13.  Pelosi wants to pass them by November 11, one week after the results are known from the New Jersey & Virginia gubernatorial and the New York 23rd congressional district races.  Coincidence?  We think not.  Those races may determine the outcome of this legislation and put an end to the radical left agenda until the 2010 general election.

We have also added a couple of new blogs from Sarah Palin.

Obtober 26
We have added new videos, announcements (constantly), news items on our home page (daily).

We have published our school board scorecards, detailed analysis and survey.  In addition we have posted some information on statewide ballot issues #2 and #3 that you may not find anywhere else.  See our local candidates and issues page.

October 21
Ready for a laugh?  Check out the new Boccieri billboard.  They're sprouting up!

We have added the videos of Cheney blasting the Obama administration for "dithering" on Afghanistan, and trying to say the Bush administration left the Obama administration unprepared, and of Lord Monckton raising the alarm of the turning our energy sovereignty over to the UN in Copenhagen in December.  We need to body slam the White House on that one, and we'll be calling upon you to help us do that at the proper time.

Many of us have been following the special election in upstate New Yorks 23rd Congressional District.  The RINO party put up a RINO to run against a democrat, and the two of them are in a three way tie with Doug Hoffman running on the  Conservative Party platform.  He is a conservative, but the RINO party was able to get Newt Gingrich to endorse their RINO, instead of the conservative.  Sarah Palin doesn't like RINO's.  She is a conservative.  And she has thrown her support behind Doug Hoffman.  We're betting that thanks to Sarah, Doug will win.  Other info is here.

Hear about the UN Climate Change Treaty the White House plans to sign in Copenhagen this December?   Read it here.  Then plan to make sure it is not ratified by 2/3 of the Senate.

October 19
Sarah Palin has been busy.  We have added links to several new blogs on topics ranging from health care and energy to national defense.

October 16
We have received information that warrants a statewide action alert.  We will be sitting on it until Sunday (Senate doesn't reconvene until Tuesday) rather than distract from the various events and protests scheduled this weekend.

We added a great video to our home page exposing how different Obama the radical-in-chief is from Obama the presidential candidate.  We also added a link to the videos from the Medina Chamber of Commerce candidate forum.  Whew.  Now we don't have to do that ourselves.  What is interesting is that the videos pretty much confirm to us the scores these candidates received from our survey.  Two democrats who were also running for re-election scored highest on our surveys.  Only one Republican in this race received either an "A" or a "B", and we hope that he will be the third person elected to fill the three slots.  The others?  Well maybe they ought to do their homework, or consider running for dog catcher.  The one to whom responding to a survey from a group of concerned citizens was "not at the top of my list" should try to find a place among the White House czars.  They seem to share his disdain for "the consent of the governed".

We have also added to Members' Postings a Fox News item about the effort to get Kevin Jennings fired as "safe schools" czar.  Who are we supposed to keep our schools safe from if not from a staunch advocate of the North American Man-Boy Love Association?  We wouldn't be nearly as "homophobic" if the "gays" would stop going after the kids.

October 15
Still catching up from our work to strengthen the grassroots in Arkansas, Montana, Nebraska, Louisiana, West Virginia, Colorado and Indiana, all of whom have at least one Senator who may break party ranks to vote against Nationalized Health Care.  Of all the states, only Texas seems to be as strong as Ohio in grassroots organizing.

We have added several members' postings.  First is a summary from out October 10 breakfast meeting.  It was spectacular.  Second is a regrettable report that the leaders of Evangelical Christian groups are promoting mass amnesty for illegal aliens, never mind what their church members think.  Another institution hijacked by leftist activists, while we were busy leading our own lives.  Third is a little humor called Mule.  Fourth is another perspective on Sarah Palin.  Her accomplishments stand in stark contract to White House haste, secrecy and ineptitude.  Last but not least is a Glenn Beck interview with Michelle Bachman, whom Nancy Pelosi has designated as her #1 target for defeat next year.  Let's make sure that Nancy is foiled.  Michelle's message - keep making those phone calls, sending those faxes and emailing - without them the White House wins; with enough of them we can win.

October 14
We have updated the PDF's under Take Action! for the Medina County local elections.  Included are all the city, township, village and school board elections with the party preference and phone numbers of the candidates (where opposed), so that you can call them and find out where they stand.  Also, we have the summary scorecards from our survey of school board candidates and a copy of the survey questions on that same page.

October 10
Our Legislative Watch - US page is updated at the very bottom to reflect the Baucus bill in the Senate.  We have a new legislative analysis of the "bill" (it is a conceptual design of a bill, not written in legal language) and its "guesstimated" cost as it nears a vote in the Committee (yes, this is the first bill that will ever be voted out of a U.S. Senate committee before it is even written, much less read).  We also have a downloaded copy of the "bill".

October 4
The New York Times tried to bury it but we got there first.  We have Obama's speech to the Olympics Committee in our Members' Postings section.  What did he say?  Essentially that he was Cinderella (no disclosure about the identity of the fairy godmother), that he was in no way responsible for America's past sins, and that he would like the Olympics to be close to his home in Chicago.  How do you spell gall?  Simple:  E G O T I S T.  He may not even realize that some fairy godmother made him everything he is.  Read it here.

Also in the same section is a sample letter to the AARP, the compiled feedback from our recent request for input from all of you,  and a list of the goals we think conservative groups need to focus on in the coming year.

We have also added this latter as a new page under our Take Action! section.  It should be read by all.  Our plans for the next 6 months will be based on this assessment.

October 2
We have added a study on political indoctrination about Islam in our classrooms.  Check it out.

Also we have added a precinct worker's handbook to our Take Action! section.  Precinct organizing will be a major goal for us for the coming year.

September 29
In addition to our usual (continuous) revisions to the Announcements (Calendar) and Home Page (the top of the three columns), we have added a video of Obama speaking on Islam.  It's just below the campaign of indoctrination exposed in elementary school classrooms, after Obama's "commendable" address to students on September 8.  Perhaps people with an IQ higher than a stone now realize that we were right in trying to keep him out of the NEA dominated public school classrooms.

We also have added to our Members Postings a news clip about the $2 billion of Stimulus going to drill for oil in Brazil, to supply the Chinese, and to enrich the investor, George Soros.  Has anyone noticed that the prime competitor to Chicago's bid for the Olympics is Brazil?  It seems they could lose $2 billion worth of American taxpayer funded drilling if they don't play nice and let Chicago have the Olympics.  Now if Obama is going over there personally, who do you suppose would be the messenger?

September 24
We have added news items to our Home page about the IRS jettisoning ACORN's professional services as tax advisors, the Senate Finance Committee vote to hide the "real" Senate Nationalized Health Care bill from public scrutiny.

We have added an Analysis of the count of participants in the 9/12 March on Washington to our Pictures page.  Actually it was closer to 1.8 million than 1.7 million.

And we've added a link to an email from Act! for America to their membership concerning the Muslim Day of Prayer on 9/25 to our Islam Primer.

We have also added the text of President Obama's speech to the United Nations on September 23 to our Members Postings.  Read it here.  Letters to the Editor writers, here's a good subject.

September 23
On our Members' Postings, the story about the NEA corruption attempt by the ever-bumbling Obama administration.

Also we've put our 1st Anniversary announcement front & center on the Home Page.  On our Legislative Watch - US page we've added several more artifacts that will help you educate your Friends And Neighbors about Cap and Trade.  We understand that Speedway gas stations are helping to educate the public, and we suggest making sure that the one near you has an ample supply of our one page Summary.

September 21

What brand name ranks highest among political labels?  Click here to find out (think "Gipper").  More info on the home page.

September 20
Several Members' Postings updates.  First, we have one from World Net Daily telling about Obama's extensive relationship with ACORN, which relationship he now wishes to diminish.  Secondly, GE's CEO Jeff Immelt continues on his goal of becoming the partner of Obama and Russian's Putin in building a new socialist partnership.  How do you spell Gollum?  Third, we expose the sole criteria by which the government decided which Chrysler dealers would be closed down.  Would you believe it had something to do with campaign contributions to someone other than Obama?  Read about it here.  And don't buy a Chrysler car, unless you want to make another contribution to Obama or Nancy Pelosi.  Finally, we have added Obama's address to a joint session of Congress to help resuscitate his Nationalized Health Care proposal.  It worked for a week, until ACORN blew up in his face.  It is a study in duplicity.  Remember it as the "Liar" speech.

We have added the Senate (Baucus) version of the Nationalized Health Care bill to our Worthwhile Reads.  It too is a train wreck.  Check it out.

A very important addition is our Party Power page under Take Action!  It is time for patriots to determine whether or not their precinct has a Precinct Committeeman; if not either find someone willing to serve in that post or step foreward themselves.  It is absolutely vital to fill as many as possible of these seats in 2010, and moreso by 2012 unless we want our next presidential candidate to one again be chosen for us by the New York Times.

September 18
As we planned, we added a special page to inform the public about Islam/Muslims; our Islam Primer.  We didn't know a few months ago.  That that we know, we think that every American needs to know.  They are building private enclaves from coast to coast, and beginning to infiltrate our government.  We will be adding more content to this page all week as we find or receive it.

We also added Sarah Palin's newest Blog to commemorate Constitution Day.

We have also added some new county conservative organizations.  See our Links - County page.

We like books.  We often can't find the ones we want in a regular book store.  So we added a Store to our website.  Problem solved.

September 16
Because of a recent design change to our Home Page, many of our updates are going directly there with the freshest, most urgent content being put in at the top.  Read the banner at the top, then read down each column until you see material you've seen before.

Our announcements are (almost) all going to the Medina We Surround Them website, because of the better calendaring function there.  Be sure to check it weekly.  A few special announcements are under our Get Involved column on our Home Page, because we want to stress them.  Details are on the "Meetups" on the Medina We Surround Them website.

We have added a bunch of videos from the March on Washington on 9/12 to our home page, and a couple of powerpoints of photos to our Pictures page.  We're still trying to catch up with them, and forward some of the most compelling stories from the March in Washington to one of our statewide affiliates that wishes to post them.

We have updated our Donate Page with our budget for the coming year, so that people who want to make contributions will know where their money will go.  The budget is based upon doing what we have done, but doing it even better assuming a reasonable flow of contributions based upon past experience.  Now if Gates or Walton likes what we're doing and would like to know what could be done if we had more money, we would be happy to talk to them about that.

September 12
Revision of the home page now that 9/12 has come.  Deleted the special page for DC bus trips.

Added several videos, including a CNN coverage of the DC Tea Party, a funny one about the government and a serious one about Nationalized Health Care.  Keep on spreading the word about Nationalized Health Care; Obama is promoting a health care bill that does not exist and will never be written, urging Congress to pass a bill that is radically different than the one he is trying to sell to the public and do it before the public can stop it.

September 11
We refreshed the home page in remembrance of 9/11.

We have also added numerous blog entries from Sarah Palin on 9/11, the Obama joint address to Congress and on Nationalized Health Care.

In response to questions we almost invariably get from new organizations starting up, we have posted a page under our Take Action! section to help them decide whether or not to seek 501 (c) (3) or 501 (c) (4) status.

Added reference to Cloward-Piven policy used by ACORN and other radical groups.

September 10
Numerous updates to home page and DC Bus Trips to 9/12 page to keep our audience up to the moment on the 9/12 demonstration

September 8
We have Obama's prepared remarks to the schools on September 8 here.  We also have our initial reaction to them here.  Both reside in our Members' Postings.  Also in our Members' Postings section are recent additions of History Unfolding drawing parallels between the rise of Nazi Germany and recent events in America, and also Letter from Grandpa from a conservative Grandpa to a liberal grandchild.  Nearly all of the items in this category are recommended to us by others.

We have added our Demonstration Protocol guidelines to our Take Action! section.  In all the demonstrations, protests and rallies thus far there have only been two violent injuries, both minor.  We have been portrayed to the public as an "Any mob", but it has been clear to any viewer than it was the Mainstream Media journalists and union thugs who were the angry, uncivil ones.  We originally circulated this for the Tax Day tea parties, after being confronted by a wannabe child molester impersonating a journalist (he Michael Moore'd us) at the first Cleveland Tea Party.  Also in our Take Action! section on the Letters to the Editor page, we have added 73 tips for letter writers.

September 7
We have moved the Medina County School Contacts page to under the Take Action! section.  It has become the primary organizing page for our effort to help citizens change the composition of Medina County school boards in the November 3 election.

September 2
Many updates on our Home page due to fast breaking news.

We have also added some disturbing videos of the President's "Youth Brigade" and the Pledge of Allegiance to Barack Obama.  Adolf Hitler might be impressed.

We have updated our list of Medina County candidates for 2009 with contact information of school district superintendents, so that you can find out if yours is planning to cooperate with the White House effort to politicize public school classrooms and boost the "personality cult" of our President.

We have updated two of our members' postings.  One was the whole issue about the Privacy Statement that had to be accepted in order to apply to the Cash for Clunkers program; however the language of the Statement granted ownership of the computer to the government.  You heard all about it on Glenn Beck and is was changed the next business day after he exposed it, even as we issued a statewide Emergency Warning to protect inquisitive patriots.  Read the whole thread here.  We also heard about a girl who converted to Christianity, and has come under the protection of the courts to protect from "honor killing" by her Muslim parents.  Learn more about the religion of Islam by reading this.

August 30
We have added a spreadsheet compiling North East Ohio media contacts in two places; one under Press Releases and the other under Letters to the Editor, both under the Take Action! tab.  The first part of the spreadsheet identifies newspaper, TV & radio contacts for news releases & tips.  The second part of the spreadsheet contains info for writers of Letters to the Editor.  Writers are encouraged to contact the Medina Post which put out an invitation for "guest columnists".

August 27
We have added another author to our list of Bloggers.  This author was depicted by the media as running and hiding when she resigned her position, but we predicted that she was abandoning a post from which she was primarily a fixed target for leftist character assassins in order to fight back.  Indeed she is fighting back; her very first torpedo was to publicize the "death panels" in HR3200, the Nationalized Health Care bill.  Immediately the Mainstream Media said that there was no such thing in the bill.  Almost as quickly the Senate exposed the duplicity of the Mainstream Media by striking from their version of the bill the very "death panel" language that they said didn't exist.  Nobody on the right, not even Rush Limbaugh has that kind of clout.  Check our Blogs for the latest write-up from Sarah Palin often.

August 26
We added a video about the Apollo Alliance to our Videos.

We added a note to our homepage about the front page coverage on our delivery of the "Read the Bill" petitions to Congressman Boccieri's office.  He would not accept them or attend personally.  What a surprise.

Those who missed last Saturday's breakfast missed an impressively well documented presentation on President Obama's background.  We have posted a link to the Schiffer Report on our Home Page (is has been on our Links for some time) to help you access a copy of the Powerpoint Presentation which he has posted on his website for the benefit of non-attendees.

August 25
We've been adding videos to both our Home page and to the Videos page.  Enjoy!

Also we've been experimenting (again) with a more graphic presentation (calendar) of our announcements.

And, of course, we've been updating on a daily basis any legislative town halls meetings or sighting we've been able to get wind of.  We try to provide no more than 48 hours notice for fear that the legislator will get wind of it and cancel or no-show at the town hall.

We updated the DC Bus Trips on 9/12.

Also, see the latest updates of Dana Hershberger's Johnny Constitution blog on the Blogs page links.

August 22
Challenged but never daunted.  We finally got the pictures uploaded from three August events; the August 1 State Sovereignty rally in Columbus, our booth at the Medina County Fair August 3-9, and the Akron Tea Party on August 17.  Busy, busy, busy!

August 21
We've added a video of Obama trying to rally his millions of campaign volunteers (now down to 60,000) to help push Nationalized Health Care over on an uncooperative American people.  Somebody please define what it means to get all "Wee-Wee'd Up".  We're not quite sure what that means.

Remember all the furor Sarah Palin caused by calling out the "Death Panels" that the Mainstream Media insisted "didn't exist" in the Nationalized Health Care bill H.R. 3200 (beginning on page 435)?  Remember how the Senate immediately redacted our of their version of the bill the Death Panels that weren't in the legislation?  Well, it appears that Death Panels are nothing new to our government as a way to try to control their spending on our health care.  Read the Veterans' Administration Death Counseling publication Your Life, Your Choices here.  Bush banned it, Obama brought it back.  His Nationalized Health Care needs it.

August 14
We've added the audio from Ronald Reagan talking against Nationalized Health Care to our Videos page (sorry, it's audio only).

August 11
Adding more videos documenting the efforts by the left to keep the Silent Majority silent.  It's not working.  See the 9.12 Florida Coordinator hold her own against the CNN anchor.  See Oregon approve Euthanasia, but not life saving drugs.  See the White House urging people to report their neighbors for speaking out against Nationalized Health Care (at least the KGB was competent in recruiting snitches).

Adding more announcments - we are highlighting in red the name of the Congressman involved at public appearances.  Make plans, make signs, Be there.

August 7
New videos here.  AARP walks out on AARP meeting, retired people assume control of meeting and talk about Nationalized Health Care and how the people can regain control of their government.  Next video shows White House talking about being uninterested in the American people talking about the issues, he just wants them to shut up and get out of his way.  Sorry bud, have you ever heard of this thing called the Constitution?  You weren't elected dictator.

August 6
MCFAN is a sham.  So says the Democratic National Committee.  They say we are the paid puppets of health insurance companies or the Republican Party, not a spontaneous uprising of citizens concerned about Washington taking our health care system and turning it over to the benevolent wisdom of ambitious politicians and bureaucrats, rather than leaving us and our doctors in control.  Read what they said under our Members' Postings.  We are totally occupied with the Fair right now.  Any volunteers with the time to contact the conservative legal groups identified on our Links page and explore our options to initiate a lawsuit against the DNC?

August 5
We added a video on President Obama contradicting himself about single payor healthcare.  We're trying to figure out which Barack Obama is lying.  It's definitely one of them.

We also added some violent and racist Tea Party attendees advocating thuggery and racism (see the second and third video on the video page by clicking here).  Ironically, it's the same person and he looks a lot like someone we all know.  Whoever he is, he needs to be watched before he causes any more damage to the Country.

August 1
We have received a Congressional Study on ACORN.  Wonder what Sherrod Brown's relationship with ACORN is?  Read it here.

Have you heard some bad rumors about Catholic Charities promoting the Nationalized Health Care bill that provides taxpayer funding for abortions?  It's not a rumor.  Read this, whether you're a Catholic or not.  One more institution hijacked by radical leftists and corporate appeasers from within.  Thanks NorthEast Ohio Values Voters and Cleveland Right to Life.

July 31
We received a new video of Muslims in America, doing what they do, and added it to the Videos page.

We are also continuing to update our Medina Fair page reflecting the latest volunteers to work our booth.

July 30
We have made numerous changes to our Medina County Fair page as a result of our planning and preparations for our booth there, August 3-9.  Affiliated conservative organizations and volunteers please check back often for updates.  Thanks!

July 28
Added an action alert for stopping national healthcare.  The vote may be coming up in Congress shortly and the Blue Dog Democrats are against the bill, but receiving heavy pressure from the President and the Speaker of the House, so they need your support.

July 27
We added a tab for the Medina County Fair.  We will be using it to plan and organize our week long booth at the fair.  A rough initial plan has been posted, two pages of volunteer schedules to man the tables (contact us to fill in a vacant timeslot!) and a proposed copy of the signup sheet we will have are the first postings.

Sarah Palin's last Alaska Govt. Twitter is on the Home page.  We will be looking for her new "personal" Twitter.

We also added an annotated copy of the write-up on President Obama's "town hall" meeting at Shaker Heights High School.  It was a true coalition effort and we saw may coalition partners and friends there, in spite of the weather.  Read about it here.

July 26
Just a note.  Things have been fast and furious.  All updates have been going on the Home Page, links from the home page, or the Announcements page.  Check back twice a week and check the home page carefully for changes.  Thanks!

We are very near to stopping the onslaught of radical, transformative legislation in Congress.  We must continue to build our momentum until the job is done.  Even so, we are beginning to worry about matters other than the economy; the transformation of our foreign policy has been no less radical and dangerous.  At any time events on the world stage could change our agenda from the economy to national defense, and we must be prepared to prevent President Obama from a policy of appeasement toward the enemies of liberty.  We have added a video of Ronald Reagan on appeasement to our Videos page.

Also on the Videos page is Sarah Palin giving her Farewell Address as Alaska's governor.

July 17
Added a call for volunteers for the Finance/Fundraising and Memberships on the home page.  Your actions have almost lead to the defeat of Cap-n-Trade in the House and now we need you more than ever.  We're need volunteers to help manage our growth and outreach.  PLEASE VOLUNTEER TO HELP GET OUR COUNTRY BACK ON THE RIGHT TRACK!

We added some pix and a video of the protest at Congressman Boccieri's office.  Perhaps a friend will donate some for the protests at other offices we're watching; Space, Kilroy, Driehaus and Ohio's own $3.5 billion Congressperson, Marcy Kaptur who will sell out, but not cheaply.  After a few days we will move these to our Pictures and Videos tabs respectively.

We also added the document Missile Defense and Space Relationships by the Independent Working Group.  Even as we struggle to save America from the enemy within headquartered in Washington, D.C., it is still a dangerous world out there.  The same people who are trying to collapse our economy and our liberties within, have been working diligently to embolden our external enemies.  It is only a matter of time before an international crisis or a domestic terrorist attack erupts.

July 16
We are working hard to promote a number of events; the July 17 protest at congressional offices across the state, the Health Care Town Hall on July 21, the August 1 State Sovereignty rally in Columbus ... phew.  Most of these changes are going on our Home Page.  Frequently when we see really good stuff we post it on our Home Page so be sure to scroll all the way down to make sure you haven't missed anything.  Always check our Announcements page because there are constant updates going on there and you don't want to miss out on anything there.

We have added an RTF copy (so you can highlight and make notes) a copyright free version of The Art of War by Sun Tzu, the ancient military genius who identified as the highest level of generalship the ability to defeat a major enemy without firing a shot ... so far the only person we know of who has ever done that was Ronald Reagan.  We have the impression that Sarah Palin has read this book too.  If you think Rules for Radicals by Saul Allinsky was pretty clever about how to affect public policy, this book makes Allinsky look like the juvenile campus radical that he was.  Study this book.  Then read Mao Tso Tung's On Guerrilla Warfare, which was all about winning by Winning the Hearts and Minds of the People.  He used it to defeat nationalist China in the 1940.  The Marines used it to defeat the Viet cong and the North Vietnames in the 1960.  It was used by General Petraeus to win in Iraq in less than a year after he was given commend.  The people of America are the ultimate source of power.

Added reference to the Akron/Medina Healthcare Forum on 7/21 at the Fairlawn Sheraton Four Points in NW Akron/Fairlawn to the homepage.

July 14
We have added the slides of the Cleveleand Freedom Fest (July 3) and Canton Tea Party of July 5 to our Pictures page.  We also added some pictures of Obama and Blago that a member sent.

We have also added a summary of the Pro-Family forum with Kasich, Portman & Batchelder that one of us had to attend, instead of our own breakfast.  The summary is here in our Members' Postings.

We also posted information about the E-Verify amendment on illegal immigration from the FAIR Coalition in our Members' Postings.  Read it and call Senator Voinevich to express your support of the amendment.

Also in our Members' postings we have a good analysis of the mainstream media's radical treatment of Sarah Palin.  Copyrighted, so here's the link

July 10
Many of us were taught in public schools that the Federal Reserve was created to prevent the Great Depression from ever happening again, only to learn after we were graduated that the Fed was actually a principal cause of the Great Depression.  Well, now they're at it again.  Read the short article by Ron Paul, the Fed Must Be Stopped.

July 9
We read the news about GE and just wigged out.  We try to stay moderate, but we just can't in this case.  Is Jeff Immelt trying to be the Albert Speer of the Obama administration?  Because of copyrights, we could only provide the hyperlinks to the actual news articles.

July 7
We have added two drafts of State Sovereignty Resolutions; the one from Ohio and the one from South Carolina which some conservatives say they prefer.  Send us an email or Contact Us to let us know which you prefer.

We have also added some amusing things to our Home Page, and removed some of the old things.

July 2
We got tired of the names and URL's of our Links not lining up, especially on the County Links page, so we rebuilt the whole list as a table.  Problem solved.

We have added the 1400 page HR2454 (Cap and Trade) bill as passed by the house, for those of you who want to see what it says.  Become an expert - almost nobody has read the last 300 pages which were introduced only hours before the vote and included a $3.5 Billion payoff for Marcy Kaptur's vote.  Read it here.  It will be stored in the Worthwhile Reads for future reference, until superceded by a future version.

Probably one of the most important additions we've made to the website is the Precinct Committeeman's Handbook.  This the the manual for the front line troop commanders of any political party, Democrat, Republican or Third Party.  Want to be part of the solution?  Read this Manual

Added Ron Paul's attempt to make sure the Fed is audited.  It's not an abolishment of the Fed, but it's a good start.

June 29
We have several updates.  In our Worthwhile Reads, we have the EPA report that disclosed that Global Warming is a hoax that the Obama administration tried to bury before the vote on Cap and Trade.

In the Members' Postings section, we have a Letter from a Teacher to Obama, an open letter to physicians about the Obama health care plan, and a pamphlet from Doctors for Patient Care about the Obama health care plan.

Are you wondering what kind of legislation is coming down the pike?  Our volunteers keep the Legislative Watch pages updated so that you know.  We recommend that you check it periodically.

Many have heard that Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky was required reading on liberal campuses during the 60's, and is the Bible that Obama lives by.  We have added Rules for Radicals so that you can know the enemy, and use his own tricks against him.

We have also added a picture of the Wicked Witch of the West's (House Speaker Nancy Pelosi) new broom.  It likes strikingly similar to a Boeing 757.  Your tax dollars at work.  (She needs plenty of room for all of her flying monkeys).

June 28
Added a summary of the e-verify bill to the Ohio Legislative Watch page.  The bill would require all employers to verify citizenship of their employees to cut back on illegal immigration.

June 27
We have added a video of Minority Leader John Boehner speaking to the House of Representatives on the Cap and Trade bill.

June 26
We have posted the Final House of Representatives roll call vote on the Cap & Trade bill (HB 2454) here.  We only missed winning by 7 votes, with 8 Republicans voting on the wrong side and 2 Republicans not voting at all.  Fortunately, none of them were from Ohio.

Added a free trial membership offer from the National Rifle Association.  (Click here for offer.)

Added a video by US Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-Minn) explaining how the Government plays favors to Democrat supporters who own GM stores.  It's governmental socialist cronyism at its best (or worst!!).

June 24
We have added an education page to capture information from a number of educational reform volunteers we are working with.

We have added a page of contact information for all of Ohio's Congressmen under our Take Action! section.  This is to support an Action Alert issued to our statewide network of affiliates, and will be useful going forward.

We have shifted the focus of our Home page to the Cap and Trade bill that we issed an Action Alert about.  Not that the Health Care plan is no longer a threat; Obama is pulling out all the stops to get it through but he can't get enough of his Democrats to support it yet (tell me again that the politicians are ignoring the Tea Party's or the rapidly growing conservative movement!)

We have been updating our Announcements on a nearly daily basis (usually unremarked), but it still isn't enough.  The notice of cancellation of the open-to-the-public hearing on the State Soverignty bill did not reach us until after 10 p.m. the night before; too late to discover in our email and blast out to everyone who may have planned to attend.  We've also seen confusion about changing dates and times from some organizations, and two different organizations doing something similar in the same city but at different times and locations; use the link we provide to confirm directly with the host organization if you need to travel to get there.  Thanks.

June 19
Please check our home page frequently.  We are updating it frequently to keep everyone aware of the most urgent action item.

Added action items for letting ABC know about planned biased coverage of President Obama's healthcare plan on June 24th.

We have posted a video recommended by previous Guest Speaker Mike Gonidakis in our videos section.  The only reason it went there is because the Home page is full of action items right now - it is as good as Mike says it is.  Watch it and get fired up.

We have a new Worthwhile Read, the ISI's report on civic literacy on our college campuses.  Read it here.

We have several new Members' Postings.  We have the letter from Janet Contreras to Glenn Beck that motivated him to interview her and has caused over a hundred thousand people to sign a petition supporting her list of 12 demands from our Congress.  Read it here.  Another posting is an amusing but accurate "rant" about who is ultimately at fault for the current economic crisis.  The clowns we need to replace in November of 2010, of course.  Read it here.  And finally there is the view of a Dodge Dealer about the Obama solution to the ills of the automobile industry; euthanasia.  Read it here.  We also have three news clippings; American Capitalism Gone Without a Whimper by Pravda, the old Soviet Union propaganda engine, GOP Chairman Steele speaking out against the incestuous relationship between ABC and the Obama administration on June 24, and a Senator taking issue with the Obama administration's wholesale firing of Inspectors General for finding corruption in his administration, "Chicago Style" politics in Washington.  Phew!

June 18
We have posted a list of the people who have been Guest Speakers at our events.  This has been requested by a number of our affiliates who are looking for ideas for guest speakers for their events.  It is in the Take Action! section right after our detailed description of how to plan, organize and conduct public forum breakfasts.

June 16
The 2010 Obamabile is here!  See this sneak preview in our Pictures.  Be the first kid on your block to own one.

Our Guest Speaker from last Saturday's public forum breakfast has provided us with a copy of his slides about the Humane Society of the United States and the attack on livestock farming.  They're in the Worthwhile Reads section.  You need to know about this attack if your family eats meat or drinks milk.  Thanks, Farm Bureau!

Even left wing pundits are even getting tired of our new President's constantly campaigning.  Check out this Members' Posting entitled Obamathon.

Note the line on the home page - public expression of outrage at David Letterman's crude jokes intended to cut Sarah Palin down to size has already resulted in a loss of one of his show's sponsors.  Keep it up!

Gallup says the conservative movement is growing (duh!) and the Associated Press is saying that Obama's spending policies are resulting in the opposite of their intended effect (duh!).  Does the mainstream media recognizing the obvious mean that the "honeymoon" is over for a new President?  See these items on our Members' Postings.

We have also updated our Donate page.  Check it out here.

June 15
Our home is updated with Action Items from our legislative liaison.  Each and every one of us needs to dedicate an hour or two per week to write letters, make phone calls, send emails or pay face-to-face visits to our elected officials.  It is not the permanent solution to our crisis in government; the elections in 2010 and 2012 are the only permanent solution.  But this is what we can do now, and it is making a difference.  Our home page will keep you informed on what issues are important right now, and what to do to help.

We have added an Annotated copy of the Constitution in the Worthwhile Reads section.

We have also added a copy of a 1936 document promoting Social Security in the Members' Postings section.  You would think that after Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, that Obamacare was nothing more than another repackaging of a failed utopian strategy.

We also added a reference to a new Gallup poll that shows Americans identifying themselves as Conservative outnumber Liberals almost 2 to 1 (40% to 21%).

June 12
We have highlighted some of the activities for this weekend on our home page, and a map to the Carlisle Duck Pond.

June 10
We have added a couple of videos to our video page; Jon Voight on the peril facing Israel due to our election of a false prophet, and Dick Morris on the G-20 meeting.

June 9
Our home page became corrupted last night, so that gave us a fine opportunity to clean off a lot of material that is becoming (or has become) somewhat outdated.  It also gave us a chance to verify that our website search and Donate buttons were working.  The website search button at the top of the home page is especially important in view of the amount of material we have accumulated on this website, available to all conservatives, with no copyright restrictions.  If you can use it, do it.

We have also switched to a wider theme for browser presentation.  This has enabled us to add a third column to our Links pages, which we will be populating with a brief description of each link or contact information.  Our links are so voluminous that it has become difficult for some people to determine which would be of most interest.  We hope the new format helps.  The wider format also helps compress some of our longer pages.

Thanks to all of you who have been helping us to identify content to add the this site.  With well over 100 emails per day we can't possibly add everything, but having that many eyes and ears out there helps us to incorporate as much as we can.  Keep it coming!

June 8
A number of the conservative groups based in Columbus have forged an alliance and are jointly planning the August 1 state sovereignty event.  We have updated their links on the Links page for county organizations, and will be providing more info as it becomes available.  We have also added some of the related groups to our main Links page (alpha under Think Tanks & reference) because they are more of an educational nature.  Look down to the new entries beginning with "Ohio".  Some of them looked pretty interesting.

June 7
We have added a story reference and an on-line petition on proposed legislation to stop federal funding for "community activist groups" that have previously been indicted for improper behavior (like ACORN).

June 6
We have added the Public Role in Counter Terrorism document comparing American vs Israeli preparedness for terrorist attack.  It is ironic that this document has been developed by the Department of Homeland Security, whose chief would probably declare an increase in preparedness on our part for terrorism to be proof of right wing extremism.  Nonetheless, this is an important document.  If you can't read it, we extracted an Executive Summary here.  We have posted them both in Worthwhile Reads.

June 5
We have been slammed by the regional leadership meetings of conservative groups, but our members have been busy sending us good stuff for our website.

Recent additions in our Members' Postings tab include President Pantywaist, the view of our President from Britain; Could this be true, reportedly the words Obama said when trying to get our servicemen to pay out of their own pockets for their medical treatments, and Roane County (Tennessee) High School Principal taking a stand.  Keep it coming folks.  We can't post it all but we post what we can.

In addition we have added to our Worthwhile Reads section The Widget Effect, and its executive summary, about the failure of existing measures of public school teacher performance to measure teacher performance.  Theyre all good!  If you believe that, you're ready for another Stimulus bill!

May 31
We have added the video about ACORN to our home page and to our videos page.

May 29
We have been busy helping the Lorain 912 Project overturn the Oberlin Board of Education policy against the Pledge of Allegiance.  On May 12 we outnumbered and outdebated the anti-Pledge group by about 60-40, and they complained that many of us were from outside the district.  But we got a commitment tthat alternative language would be considered on May 26 that would make the Pledge part of the school day.  Between those two meetings we did a targetted mailing and fielded five teams to canvass precincts.  On May 26, we outnumbered that anti-Pledge crowd by about 3-1, and the overwhelming majority were new people from inside the district.  Most of the details are on our home page for now, and will later move it to Members' Postings.  No, we didn't win, but neither did we lose.  Oberlin isn't exactly a conservative town and public education has had two generations to usurp the power that citizens, parents and voters once held.  Which side is in retreat?  Their side has run behind "summer vacations" to hide.  They're trying a "delay of game" with the wrong people.  We should continue working the precincts to build our strength.

Once again we are spending a lot of time and effort to swing a single vote on the school board.  It would be easier to elect a more conservative school board member to swing the vote our way, and that is true of most school board's in the state.  Someone should be looking for candidates now to run for 2009.  And everyone should be learning the power of precinct canvassing.

We have added an endorsement of Josh Mandel, candidate for Ohio Treasurer by Mike Gonidakis under our Members' Postings.  Read it here.

In addition we have been provided a copy of a PDF that the Federal Reserve uses to explain how our monetary system works.  It is here under Worthwhile Reads.

We have updated a number of announcements.  Please note the Fair Tax Nation trip to Missouri in June.

May 25
We have added a large number of links that have been suggested by other people, notably those of national interest to young people, people interested in education, constitutional preservation, and state sovereignty.  We believe that the state sovereignty efforts are key right now.

In addition we are in the process of updating our announcements throughout Ohio.  If you know of some that may not yet be posted, let us know.

May 19
We have added a Members Posting On Islam.  If you've been wondering what to think about Islam and Muslims, read this summary.  Then read the book.

We have added a Letter to the Editor from one of the people opposed to the Oberlin school board's policy of excluding the Pledge of Allegiance from the normal (or any other) school day.  Her letter undoubtedly contributed to our victory at the May 12th school board meeting.

We updated some of the announcements - picnics are in the offing.

We have added a powerpoint of some US Military photos under the Pictures tab.

Last but not least, the video on our home page was played by Don at the Lorain County 912 Project breakfast to provide some perspective on the Flag, our Pledge of Allegiance and our National Anthem.  If they don't play this video in public schools, they ought to.

May 13
We have added to our members' postings a newspaper clipping about the meeting at the Oberlin Board of Education meeting last night which a number of us attended in support of Shawn's effort to reverse the Oberlin policy of not including the Pledge of Allegiance as part of the school day.  We have also added Shawn's thank you note to those of us and the Lorain 912 Project that supported Shawn at the meeting.  There were a surprising number of radical lefties there, trying to silence us by demanding to know where we lived and by declaring themelves to be "victim's (see Ann Coulter's book, Guilty for an excellent discussion how the radical left plays the "victim" card).  The space case of the day was a black woman who protested against the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance because of the clause, "with liberty and justice for all" which she characterized as being untrue; that is a laudable goal but based upon her experience it hasn't happened yet.  Her son was one of the Board of Education members.  Go figure.

We have also added a series of links on our Worthwhile Reads page that described how laws are made in Washington DC and in Columbus, from the kids version all the way to the detailed Library of Congress version.  Read these and you'll be an expert.

May 12
We try to post our notes from the guest speaker's talk after each breakfast, so that the information is available to those who were unable to attend.  Steve Salvi, founder of Ohio Jobs & Justice PAC who was our guest speaker last Saturday gave us the full text of his speech so that we could post it.  There is no more important issue, as the proposed Amnesty for illegal aliens could radically and irrevocably change the political balance in our country.  Four attendees of our breakfast (including the waiter) mentioned that they have a relative who was murdered by an illegal alien.  Read it here.

May 9
We have updated links to some new conservative groups and updated our announcements to reflect all of the new events we have founded posting in our crawling of conservative websites.  Please let us know about any we may have missed.

May 7
We have updated our Worthwhile Reads with more copies of political party bylaws/permanent rules.  Very few conservatives "know the ropes" of how political parties are organized and operated, and want to know.  Here are the ropes, at the county, state and national level.  Those who will play a leadership role in putting a conservative in the White House in 2012 must either know these, or develop an alternative.

We have updated our home page with more info about the National Day of Prayer.  Please find one near you and attend.  We need to led God know that when our President announced that "America is no longer a Christian nation", he was not speaking for us.  Yeah, I know that God knows that.  But don't you like to hear it when someone you love tells you that they love you, even though you know it?  I'll bet God does too.

May 6
We have updated some announcements.  We spent tonight in Toledo and Wadsworth respectively supporting other organizations, and must still update the Ning sites we support so check back tomorrow for additional updates.  Thanks.

May 3
Here is an important read in our members' postings.  Obama is trying to blame the economy on Bush, but Congress controls the purse strings of our government and as a Senator in 2006, he was up to his neck in creating the budget deficit avalanche that he now wants to pin on Bush.  Obama's guilt here is admitted by a columnist for the Associated Press, a remarkable admission of truth by the mainstream media.  Check it out.  And don''t forget that during the campaign Obama actively and strongly supported the original TARP bailout, so trying to pin that one solely on Bush is absolutely dishonest.

Counter terrorism expert Andrew McCarthy has refused to be a part of lending credibility to the Obama administration's decision to turn terrorists loose.  As he points out, the administration's invitation to him to participate on a policy formulating committee is a political "prop", as the Obama administration's policy has already been formulated and communicated to the world.  Read it here.
McCarthy's integrity and his courage to speak out has resulted in our Minuteman of the Week Award going to a federal government employee for the 2nd week in a row.

We have made another pass at updating out Links - County Organizations with all the new conservative groups starting up around the state.  This clearing house of information about Ohio conservative groups was originally suggested by a member of our Education Committee.  Similarly guests at our Medina County breakfasts originally suggested that we include on our Announcements page, events from organizations throughout Ohio providing a one-stop shop for conservative events.  We have done that and it takes a lot of work, not only because there are so many organizations and they are so active, but because many of these events spring up on short notice ... we try to do a lot of our routine work on a regular scheduled basis (weekly or monthly).

We have also added a Donate button to our website.  Donations go directly to our non-profit Education affiliate, American Friends And Neighbors Education (AmFANEdu) and are intended to fund our efforts to educate Americans in the rudiments of active citizenship and advocacy, as well as to promote the principles of the constitutional republic, free enterprise and traditional values in K-12, colleges and universities, and among the general public.  There is very little that we do that is not educational.

Another members' posting; again, Obama is caught strong-arming corporate America again, trying to get them to become submissive agents of the United Socialist States of America.  Chicago politics is the order of the day in Washington.  Even ABC is beginning to report on this.  Check it out.
May 1
We have added a number of new links to our page of county organizations.  New groups keep popping up all over the state.  We have also added a number of event announcements from these groups to our announcements page, so that you can find them.

We have added the posting about the Dangerous Good Old Boys of the GOP upon the suggestion of one of our volunteers.  The grassroots is about passion, and passion is generated by ideals.  When a party abandons them, it abandons the grassroots that it can't win without.

April 29
Many have expressed a desire to help contribute to our effort to build the conservative grassroots, and we have gratefully accepted in-kind contributions of paper, envelopes, labels and postage at our meetings to keep our targeted mailings going out at periodic intervals.  We have now added a Donate page so that people can help us to train conservatives in civic advocacy, to promote educate educational reform in K-12 as well as colleges and universities, and to re-educate the general public in the principles of the constitutional republic, free market economy, and traditional American values.

We have added an excellent Letter to the Editor from one of our tea party participants to our collection in the Take Action! section.  Great write-up, Marion!

We have also updated our About Us page to reflect how our scope has expanded after our first six months in existence.  Our progress has exceeded our expectations.  We must do as well or even better in the next six months.  And then we must beat our first year's progress in our second year, in time for the general election in 2010.  That will be the halfway point to restoring America in 2012.  Wish your support, we will turn the tide in 2010 and win in 2012.

April 28
We've added the announcement about Scott Curtis from Fair Tax Ohio speaking at the Rusty Barrel in Westlake.  If you didn't get a chance to hear him in Medina, go hear him in Westlake.

We've added a number of links to anti-illegal immigration websites throughout the state.  We are also improving our Legislative Watch pages.

Best of all, we get to announce that Arlen Specter has finally come out of the closet - he is now a liberal democrat instead of a RINO.

April 23
We have added to our Members' Postings a quick summary of the 912 Project initiated by Glenn Beck, for those of you wanting to know more about all the newcomers.

We also added there a news clip of the GE shareholders meeting where shareholders objected to GE's strong arming the leftist mainstream media owned by GE (MSNBC, NBC, CNBC) to become even more leftist, in order to make nice to Obama who is planning to spend hundreds of billions on alternative energy (i.e., GE windmills at $1 million+ apiece).   Like most businessmen willing to sell their souls, we predict they will never get their money and their souls will not be returned.  As you boycott MSNBC and their advertisers, you need to boycott GE as well now.  Friends don't let friends buy GE products.

We have also added to our documents the Inspector General's report on the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) documenting the stupidity of this $700 billion spending plunder whose cost could swell to several times that if recommended reforms are not implemented.  Check our out home page ... as much as we are upset by a radical government, we need to applaud our public servants who have the courage to "tell it like it is" - the Special Inspector General for TARP is our Minuteman of the Week.

April 21
We have added the LifeWork event in Cleveland to our announcements.  Keynote speaker is Anne Hendershott, professor of Kings College, NY.

April 18
We were sent the video of Chris Long's speech to the Medina Tea Party, and we're glad to have this so that everyone can get energized.  We put it on our home page, and when it becomes "stale" we'll move it to our Videos collection.

Ohio Right to Life won a Freedom of Speech suit in Tiffin.  Press release is here.  We will fight for America on every battlefield.  They also sent us a clipping about a new lobbyist being hired by the nearby University of Akron, which appears to want a bigger helping at the public trough.  We have heard the students over there repeatedly complain of the leftist culture and political indoctrination that is going on.  We would like to hear what the University of Akron is planning to do to correct that, and would like to hear that answer before any more money is given to them.

MSNBC ran a poll on how the public would grade Obama's performance to date and the results are - well, don't hold your breath waiting for MSNBC to broadcast these results!  Check it out.

We have also added an announcement and the link to the End The Fed organization.

It was suggested that we post the article about the Founding Fathers written by Rush Limbaugh's father ... we can't do that until we get his permission (copyright, you know), but it is a good article and we're happy to provide this link to it.

April 16
Fox news had more viewers on April 15 than all other news channels combined.  People wanted to know the truth, or at least a "fair and balanced" viewpoint, and it is the only place on network news that they can get it.

Today we have the smoking gun of the Obama administration sending out its thugs to prevent any more "Tea Party's" from happening and embarassing him.  So who is the thug he sent out to do his dirty work?  General Electric, the owner of MSNBC, NBC and CNBC.  Check it out.  And then do what makes sense to you.

April 15
What a day!  For half the day we were portrayed as Right Wing Radicals by the mainstream news media, and then we humiliated the media by showing America that we are mainstream and as American as townsmen running to Lexington town center with their muskets, sailors running back to their ships while the Japanese were still bombing, and passengers on United Flight 93 driving the airliner into the ground rather than let the terrorists hit another American building.  Egg on their faces!

The Department of Homeland Security issued a warning about citizens who believe in the 10th Amendment of the Constitution (wasn't Janet Napolitano required to take an oath?), or even worse, might have served in our armed forces and thereby be particularly dangerous.  Check it out.

Kudos to the American Legion for calling Napolitano out on her outrageous and anti-American warning.  She should be forced to resign for referring to those who adhere to the document she supposedly took an oath to protect and preserve, as "Right Wing Radicals".

April 13
We have added a summary of the remarks by Chris Long, President of the Ohio Christian Alliance to our breakfast forum of April 11 to our Members' Postings.  He is a great speaker.

Also, our congratulations to Amy Brighton who has been handling the press relations for the Tea Party and got the banner headline on the front page of the Medina Gazette, plus a feature article about the event.  Way to go, Amy!

Paul Schiffer has been suggested as a future guest speaker, and we have linked his Schiffer Report website.

Last but not least, as the Tea Party approaches we have emphasized the Medina County Tea Party on our home page.  Be there or be square!

April 11
Late breaking changes to the time and location of some of the Tea Party's posted on our home page.  Keep an eye on our Announcements page for new, local Tea Party's that may be near you.  We've been challenged to keep up with all of the events going on statewide, and providing a one-stop shop for conservative organizations and events.

We were pleased to speak at the Westlake 912 Project meeting at the Rusty Barrel.  Conservatives in the Westlake area should get involved with this group.  Likewise the Lorain 912 Project, which will be hosting their own breakfast next Saturday at the Golden Corral in Elyria.

We have added a link to the Northeast Ohio Defense Force.  This groups organizes and trains volunteers to augment local emergency response agencies during times of national disaster or other community emergencies.  Check them out and if able-bodied, give it a thought.

We also had Chris Long, President of the Ohio Christian Alliance as a guest speaker.  They are playing a lead role in the fight against FOCA, which would repeal all existing state and federal restrictions on abortion.  We would like to have every church in Medina County

April 9
Tea Party's are popping up all over like mushrooms.  We have been updating our list of them weekly.  The leadership of people who were newbies only a few months ago demonstrates what can be done, and we are very gratified to have been of help to many of them.  We are a little irritated by latecomers who seemed only interested in their own ratings or their own organization until they saw this movement taking off without them, and now they are rushing to get back in front of the crowd.  We will bite our tongue.  We must focus on our common enemy and the cause which unites us, not on minor irritations and differences.  There are no enemies on the right, so long as there are enemies on the left.  Hannity, Gingrich, and those elements of the Republican Party which have taken to the streets with us, welcome.  Glenn Beck, God bless you.  We have heard you called a "traitor" for what you have done, and that puts you in the same class of people as Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams ... what a wonderful honor!

We also have a legislative update.  Obama's efforts to surrender our sovereignty.

An interesting submission by one of our volunteers about something the ten poorest cities in America have in common.

A new blog is available entitled Obama Should Apologize.

April 5
We have added a number of links to our County links pages.  A couple of months ago there were a number of isolated conservatives throughout the state, wondering how to get connected with each other and get involved.  We grouped them into regions and worked to help them connect, but we have been leapfrogged.  Glenn Beck meetup groups have started in almost every part of the state and so have Tea Party's.  And they're still growing like mushrooms.  Find one of each near you (or create one) and get going.

March 31
In preparation for training of precinct workers in Medina, Wayne, Stark, Lorain and Cuyahoga counties, we have updated our materials for precinct workers and organizers and posted them in a special section under Take Action!  Need a precinct walking list?  Let us know; if we don't have it our volunteer will produce it on a first come, first served basis.  Go take back America, your Friends And Neighbors first!

We have also added some new ones to our portfolio of signs for the Tea Party's.  Copy, print, paint, have a great time.  Nothing on this site is copyrighted, because we want you to use it.

March 30
See Legislative Updates - US.

We've also added Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA to our Videos page.  Two versions, one with the lyrics.

March 29
We have added some updates to our Home page and a could of videos on our Videos page, notably the questioning by Rep. Bachman about the constitutionality of what the Treasury Secretary and Chairman of the Federal Reserve are doing and propose to do to our economy.  You go girl.

Our volunteer Legislative Liaison's first update is provided on the new Legislative Updates page.  We're glad to hear that mandatory service was dropped from 1388, not glad to hear that the idea has just moved somewhere else.  Thanks David for helping us keep track of the immediate threats as we rebuild.

March 28
We have updated our Announcements page, and will shortly be updating our announcements on that battery of social network sites where we're active.  Then we'll bring back here the announcements we find there, so that you will know if anything is going on near you.  Do you know of something not on our Announcements page?  Let us know!

March 21
We have scheduled a second Organizing for Action meeting (see home page).  At our first, the organizer of the upcoming Cleveland Tea Party spoke and we are encouraging as many members as possible to attend, and to help organize it.  More later.  A summary of the first Organizing for Action meeting is here.

We have updated links to reflect the numerous Tea Party's being scheduled around the state in every major city except Toledo (know a volunteer?).  Rallies and Demonstrations are not our thing, but we support as much as we can other people, groups and functions that build the conservative movement.  Accordingly, we are also building a contact list of the leaders of conservative organizations around the state to aid coordination and communication among the groups for mutual support and rapid response.  We are also building our list of conservative organizations and provide links to them in out County and Statewide links page.  We appreciate your help identifying those we haven't heard about yet, so that we can include them.  Thanks!

March 16
We have posted the pictures of the Cincinnati Tea Party.  Fabulous job of organizing this turnout of 3,500 - 5,000 conservatives, and two liberal spoilers.

We have also recognized Glenn Beck as our Minuteman of the Week for initiating grassroots organizing events call "We Surround Them".  He caused a number of new Friends And Neighbors to come out and join us, and we will be hosting an Organizing for Action meeting this Wednesday March 17 at Panera Bread (see announcements).  If a lot of people can't make this one and want to attend a "makeup" session, we will try to schedule one next week.

We have a late breaking announcement about Jeff Malek's group in Wadsworth meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday).  See announcements.

March 14
We have posted on our Members' Postings page a summary of remarks by Guest Speaker Steve Curtis, Director, Fair Tax Nation - Ohio at this Saturday's breakfast forum.  It was an outstanding presentation, and free DVD's were distributed about the Fair Tax.  Contact Fair Tax Nation to request a copy by emailing s.curtis@ohfairtax.org .  If you have a public access cable channel that would be willing to run it but requires that a non-profit corporation act as sponsor, contact jimwoods@mcfan.org.  They have several locations of periodic meetings in the West Central and Southwestern regions of the state - see Announcements.  Welcome to Fair Tax Nation as a member in good standing of the rapidly growing conservative grassroots coalition in Ohio.

At this morning's meeting two of the founding members of Recharge Medina attended and we're glad they did.  We welcome them as allies not competitors, and look forward to working with them to build the conservative grassroots.

March 12
Finally!  One of the radio talk show hosts has leveraged his microphone to help build the conservative grassroots.  We will be attending the Glenn Beck "We Surround Them" event in Medina and will try to get out to some of the others to help them organize.  We encourage our members to do so as well ... we have built up a lot of content that they can use here on this website, and can help point them to a lot of other resources (e.g., Palin's Gardens on Team Sarah).

We have a few specific volunteer opportunities we would like to fill at this time.  See the Volunteer Opportunities page under Take Action!

You probably already saw on our homepage that some pervert tried to pull a "Michael Moore" on our allies (and us) at the Cleveland Tea Party.  He wanted to expose us and ended up getting exposed.

March 10
We're spending more than half our time now building the statewide coalition of conservative groups, many of them just starting up.  The pace is breathtaking.  The spirit of Lexington, Concord and United Flight 93 are still very much alive in America.  We prepared our first mailing to Wayne County (anybody who wants to find our how to use a voter file from the Secretary of State to prospect for new members let us know on the Contact Us form).  And we updated our page for Educational Reform with not just the Roadmap spreadsheet, but the entire Strategy for Educational Reform document which is open to review and comment by our Education Committee, education committees on other conservative social networking sites, and you.  We want to hear what you think of it, because it is the foundation for what we plan to do next; make it happen.  We have already begun to execute the strategy, and now is the best time to share your thoughts.

March 7
Tea Party's are springing up all over.  Our members and affiliates statewide are encouraged to attend as many as they can, make contacts and build the coalition.  Check our Announcements page frequently, as we often only get a couple day's notice on these events.

Check out our Members' Postings page for new items or items you may have missed.  We just added Grooming the Perfect Marxist Candidate which you may have heard on Quinn & Rose, subtitle, "Obama's Revenge".  His policies do indeed look like race reparations or revenge.  Read this and know thy enemy.

We have added all 5 social network sites that we work to build up the coalition at the top of our Links page.  There are a few more that we monitor, but these are the ones that seem to be building the movement.  We encourage everyone to join at least one.

March 6
We saw a really good opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal and put a link to it on the home page; Obama's Radicalism is Killing the Dow.  Plus we penned a few signs in preparation for the Cincinnati Tea Party, which we are supporting to help organize our friends down there.  We put a link to our signage on the front page as well.  We're going after the Mainstream Media?  Yep.  About time somebody did, don't you think?

March 5
We added two documents to our document repository; the roll call vote on the Omnibus budget bill and the roll call vote on the "Pay a deadbeat's mortgage for him" bill.  It appears that President Obama thinks that "the rich" (you) have it coming to you because you've got yours and not everybody has theirs.  Is this some kind of slavery restitution thing?  Or just classical communism?

March 3
We didn't plan to make such a major update, but it happened anyway.  Check out the important updates on the Take Action! page.  At the bottom we have added two War Stories of victories resulting from successful grassroots organizing.  These provide great lessons learned.  Even more important, we have formulated a Strategy for battling the Mainstream Media, and fired our first torpedo under that battle plan, at the Board of Directors of General Electric, who own NBC/MSNBC and have just had to reduce their dividend by 68% thanks in large part to the economic crisis that NBC/MSNBC has worked so hard to engineer.

March 2
We have added the exposure draft of our Strategy for Education Reform for review and comment.  We also added a summary of Governor Strickland's remarks primarily on education, in Strongsville on February 27.  Yep, we had people at two different events on the same day.  Cool.

March 1
We have updated our Announcements to reflect the location of the Medina County Lincoln Day Dinner on March 7.  We have also added the Cincinnati Tea Party and a link for further information for those of you who can attend on March 14.

Some of our own members participated in the Cleveland Tea Party, as you probably picked up from the Home Page.  We will duplicate the information here so that you can still find it after our Home changes, as it often does.  Amy's summary of the rally is here.  Pictures of the rally is here.

A couple of us also went to the Cuyahoga County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner.  It was a welcome night out for us, but informative as well.  We have summarized guest speaker Karl Rove's comments for you here, with a couple of our own observations as well.

February 21
Better late than never.  We have added to our Members' Postings a summary of the talk by Robin Hovis, Ohio Board of Education member from the 5th District at our last Saturday breakfast.  This is important information about our public schools K-12 that needs to be known by all, so we make it available here for the benefit of those unable to attend.  By the way, Rob is also the Chairman of the Holmes County Republican Party so if you want to get involved down there let us know and we'll put you in touch!

February 19
We hyperlinked a great video from the mainstream media on our home page.  It seems that one of their correspondents at the Chicago Board of Trade levelled with the American people about Obama's latest plan to put out the fires of the sub-prime mortgage crisis by pouring more gasoline on them.  We have also added a new page Grassroots Activism 101 to our Take Action section.  We produced this to help the grassroots organizers springing up around the state to get started.  It is still a good read even for our Friends And Neighbors here in Medina County.

February 17
We have organized 40+ grassroots organizers from around the state into a number of regions that should help them to work together and build their own grassroots conservative organizations.  Our recommended geographic regions roughly correspond to "media markets" and metropolitan areas.

February 16
See our Members' Postings for much important information of which you need to be aware.  The most recent addition was suggested by a new visitor to our most recent breakfast.  Read the Communist Goals for 1963 and see how many of them have been accomplished, especially in education.

February 14
Happy Valentine's Day!

We have added a number of new announcemetns, going into March.  Pick a Lincoln Day Dinner of your choice (or more than one) and enjoy!  We also finished the repairs on our home page from a technical failure a couple of nights ago.

February 13
We heard that no Congressmen and no Senators have had a chance to read the two part, 1000 page plus "Recovery Bill", also known as the "stimulus" bill and the "Porkulus" bill.  Rush Limbaush said that it had been put on the Appropriations Committee website in PDF format that he couldn't search using a standard word processor.  So we went out and translated both parts A and B, broke the password protection on Part B (they really didn't want anybody seeing Part B before the vote - could it be the section about Limits on Compensation?) and posted them on our site.  You won't enjoy the reading, but you need to know what's been done to your country.  Some of the cosmetics were lost in the translation, as they always are when going from Wang computers (remember them - the government still uses them!) to software written in the past ten or fifteen years.

February 11
Two steps forward, one step back.  Today we restored our home page after a malfunction.

February 9
Our focus this week is trying to get everyone to telephone and email both of our Ohio Senators, and about a dozen other possible crossover voters to defeat the HR1 "stimulus" bill.

Nevertheless we have taken the time to add some interesting links.  First, Joe the Plumber under "Young Conservatives".  Second, Pajamas TV under the same group, an offshoot of PamajasMedia.  The Foundation for Economic Education is under our Education section.  Two new sites have sprung up from Sarah Palin's direction; Conservatives 4 Palin who have current info about the Governor, and SarahPac which is Governor Palin's PAC; she apparently intends to play a role in rebuilding the party in 2010.  And we have added the Young Americans Center for Financial Education under both the Young Conservatives and Education headings.

Now go out there and contact your Senator again.

February 5
We have made the usual changes to the Home Page.  Read the whole thing every time you come because that's where we usually put the hottest info.  The big news today is the continuing fight against HR1.  Our battle over Geithner and Holder led to the defeat of Daschle's nomination, and the exposure of the double-standard of the Democrat politicians.  This battle over HR1 will at best protect America from the damage of this bill, and at worst make it crystal clear to Americans who caused the damage and who opposed it and should lead the recovery effort.  We pick our battles, and this is one to fight.

We have added a spreadsheet of things grassroots conservatives can do to improve education.  Check it out and let us know your thought - it is an exposure draft.  We are currently writing up a Strategy for Education Reform based upon this table and the information shared during our Education Committee meetings.

If you know of active conservatives or conservative organizations in other counties let us know - we're trying to help them get organized into a statewide coalition.  Now that we have real Republicans in charge of the Ohio GOP and RNC, we're on a roll.  Thanks.

February 3
We have added announcements about two Election Academy sessions scheduled for February.  One was scheduled in January with County Commissioner Sharon Ray as guest speaker, but had to be cancelled due to weather.  We would like our Friends And Neighbors to seriously consider running for public office, especially for the School Board and local elections to be held this November.  We need good people in office so that bad ones aren't.

We have added a link to the roll call votes of the House of Representatives and Senate to links page, so you can keep track of what your Congressman and Senators are doing.

January 30
Good news and bad news.  The bad news is that many of the "conservative Blue Dog" democrats lost their nerve and voted with the party line in favor of the HR 1 of the new Congress, an $800 billion super pork bill with hundreds of millions for contraceptives, STD medicine, around $5 billion for ACORN and President Obama's 600,000 permanent "volunteer" army, $500-$1000 checks for illegal aliens ... everything but stimulus for the economy and that not arriving until time for 2010 re-elections.  We have posted the list of Blue Dog Democrats in our Members' Postings, as well as the roll call vote for HR 1.  We have also called upon the Ohio citizens of House District's 6 and 18 to give their "conservative Blue Dog" democrats the newspaper for jumping over the fence and running with the left, on our Home page.

Now the good news.  One of our two preferred candidates won the RNC Chair.  We think that with the new RNC Chair and our new Ohio GOP Chair, 2010 is beginning to look a lot more promising.  Now go out and find more Friends And Neighbors who may have been discouraged by the election, and tell them it's time to get back into the game.  In 2009 we need every voice!  And the best news of all is that all of our House Republicans were Republicans this week, every one of them voting against the $800 billion "Porkulus" super pork 'stimulus' bill.  Good job!

Also, we finally got around to documenting some of the mistakes we saw in managing campaign headquarters' last Fall, and point by point how we think they should have been managed instead.  This in our Take Action section.

January 28
We are disappointed that the Ohio RNC Committeeman and Committeewoman have already committed their votes to an RNC Chairman candidate that we don't think understands the transformation needed, much less is able to lead it.  We are pleased that our new Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine has not yet made up his mind.  We're having the same problem; it's a touch call between two candidates who we think "get it".  Our thoughts on the Selection of the RNC Chairman are on our blog, which resides on Townhall and are fed into Team Sarah and Rebuild the Party.

January 24
We are still catching up.  We have posted the combined minutes from our Education Committee meetings stored under Members' Postings.  I am still amazed at the abundance and quality of ideas coming out of our team, and working to share our ideas with others committed to education reform.  Interestingly enough, the Committee also strongly recommended and taken on as an action item the identification of conservative organizations in every county in the state, and establishing a link to them in order to build the conservative coalition.  If you click on the Links page, you'll see we now have two additional links pages, one for statewide organizations and one for county/local organizations.  Use the Contact Us form or send us an email to help us fill in the blanks.  Thanks!

We have reorganized our news feeds and added a fourth, Real Clear Politics.  We will add more by popular request.

We have also added a couple of announcements, one to a one hour session being put on by County Commissioner Sharon Ray about running for political office (or campaigning) and another about a grassroots organization meeting in Wadsworth.  Check them out

January 18
We have removed some expired announcements (the March for Life yesterday was great!).  We have added several new links to help you connect with our growing conservative coalition.

We note with satisfaction that the automatic updating we've implemented for our Blogs and Videos are working; that's the good news.  The bad news is that there is no automatic way of letting you know that there is at least one new blog article, and a new video (scroll to the bottom) from Machosauce.  We'll have to think about how to get you the word.  Kevin DeWine was elected unanimously to be the new Ohio Republican Party State Chairman, and he has put together a 10 point plan (see link on our Home page) that looks like a winner to us.

January 16
Busy week.  We've added a couple of links under the new heading of Education Reform to a couple of organizations we're looking at for our Education Committee, plus the nearby Cleveland Right to Life which will be having a march this weekend.  Thanks to the Ohio Christian Alliance for the notice.  Thanks to Education Conservatives group on Team Sarah for the notice about Sarah Palin being on the Glenn Beck show.  Both are on our Home page because of the short notice.

We posted a video from Alfonso Rachel of Machosauceproductions on our MCFAN group, and he is now gaining a lot of friends from that organization.  Congrats to Lisa for having been selected to be a moderator on the Team Sarah website.

January 13
We have updated our announcements to reflect the next meeting of the Education Committee on Wednesday, January 21 at the Main Medina County Library, Communications Room.  Team Sarah has asked us to edit a newsletter clipping featuring Medina County Friends and Neighbors' January 11 meeting to their membership.  We have been picking the brains of two of their education related groups and sharing their observations with our Education Committee.  The scope of what needs to be done at the local, state and national level is huge, and we have some really exciting ideas.

January 11
We have added 2 additional News Feeds to the page by that name; we've had Buckeye Firearms for a couple of weeks now and we're adding a News Feed to Glenn Beck and National Review Online.  Any technological breakthrough for us here, we hope you find it a valuable asset in your endeavors to stay informed, connected and empowered.

Our first meeting of the year was such a spectacular success from the standpoint of coalition building with other organizations, and so informative on the 2nd Amendment, Concealed Carry and the Castle Doctrine, that we have written up a summary for everyone to read and benefit.  We put it on our Members' postings here

January 10
We have made some minor modification to our Announcements and Home page to reflect that this morning's breakfast is now history, and added a number of links.  We have added Buckeye Firearms and Ohioans for Concealed Carry (OFCC), both of which provided us with an excellent guest speaker to start off the year.  In addition the Ohio Christian Alliance representative at the meeting identified to us the WallBuilders, an organization dedicated to presenting America's forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on the moral, religious, and constitutional foundation on which America was built.  The invocation was given by the Chaplain of the Medina County Marine Corp League.  Semper Fi and welcome aboard.

January 9
Last minute updates before the first meeting of the year.  On our home page we have a new Sarah Palin video identified to us by our members.  We have also dropped two announcements that have been completed.  More to follow this weekend ... probably a lot more.  Check back!

January 6
We have a new members post Know Your Enemy that you need to read.  It is about how Obama is keeping his millions of internet activists engaged, and hoping to use them to push his plans through.  He learned it from us.  We need to meet that competition head on.  We need every voice and we need everyone's email address so that we can mobilize when needed.  If we don't have yours or a friend of yours who should be on our alert list, click on Get Connected and fill in the blanks.  Thanks!

The Education Committee meeting tonight will be rescheduled.  The weather did not cooperate.

We've added notice about the vote to elect a new RNC Chair on our hompage, and put videos of the Americans for Tax Reform debate on our video page.

January 3
We did some minor spiffing up on our site today now that it is no longer Christmas or New Years.  We keep hearing ominous sounds about the new administration and about the new Congress, but we don't want to cry "Wolf" until we see one.  Our concern is that we may not be able to get the message out to everyone that needs to help, and that they may not be ready when we do see a wolf.  Please make sure that we have your email address and that of any friend that we may need to mobilize.  Please review the section under Take Action! about contacting your elected official.  Even if you've done it before, you may see some new techniques.

2009 is an election year for filling certain school board posts.  We are very interested in seeing certain posts being contested by conservative candidates.

December 31
We have done some research on local school districts and note that 2009 is an election year for school board members.  We would like our people to support school board members who share our values, and to consider running for election against those that do not.  I would also like to suggest trying the Sarah Palin model to our people- Sarah's first entry into politics was becoming an active member of her local Parent Teacher Organization.

We encourage you to check out Team Sarah, which a number of us have begun using as a "social networking" site.  Please feel free to join our own MCFAN group on Team Sarah.  We also recommend Palins Garden with which we have developed a relationship; they have a lot of good material there for grassroots activists and we'd prefer to continue building content that isn't available elsewhere than re-"invent the wheel" that Palin's Garden has provided.

We have competition!  A new group has sprung up in Medina County to build the conservative grassroots, Recharge Medina County.  We know the people who started this group up, we support them, and look forward to working together with them toward our common goals.  We have added the announcement to their event on January 16 and have already made our reservations.  We hope to see some of you there.

Oh.  And Happy New Year!

December 27
With some regrets we updated our home page by taking down the Reagan Christmas message.  We were thrilled to find it, as well as a number of other Reagan speeches that are as inspring as ever.  We will keep an eye out for other good videos that we should make available, and would appreciate your letting us know if you see a good one we should add.

Human Events has recognized Sarah Palin as the Conservative of the Year.  We have linked an article from Ann Coulter about it; there are still a number of people out there who believe the mainstream media's (MSM) character assassination of Palin and Ann reminds of of the stupidities that Obama produced that were bagged up and secreted away faster than a Boston poodle's doo-doo.

December 22
Always trolling for new conservative organizations to network with, we have added Rebuildtheparty.com to our Links.  You may wish to look at their ten point plan for rebuilding the party; we agree with most of what is said.  The YRNetwork.com and Nextgengop.com looked interesting for the younger people, so we added those as well.  If you haven't been to teamsarah.org yet, go check it out.  We have our own MCFAN group there.  We are also pleased to be working with the Palins Garden group on Team Sarah, and are beginning to work within a leadership group on Team Sarah to rebuild conservative grassroots capability nationwide.  Palins Garden has provided a lot of basic materials for new political activists.

December 21
As several of you know, we are working together with several other organizations and individuals across the country to build the conservative grassroots.  We have changed the name of our old Organization Manual folder to Take Action, and are populating it with materials that we want to make available not only to our own Friends and Neighbors, but to other conservative organizations as well.

The Volunteer Interest Form we have invited people to fill out at our breakfasts is now in the Take Action folder so that other organizations can use it as well as ourselves.  Those of you haven't had a chance to fill it out yet, please download it, fill it out and email it back to us.

December 20
We have updated the Elected Officials page in our Organizational Manual.  This is an important part of grassroots activism; knowing who your elected officials are, communicating with them, and then monitoring their performance in office and either supporting or opposing their re-election accordingly.  All the links you need to identify your elected officials, contact them, monitor their voting records and determining the status of legislation are in here.

December 14
We have so much content (e.g., Links) that people are asking for stuff that we already have.  To make it easier to find, we have added a website search engine to our home page, and are fine tuning it.

Those of you who missed the breakfast on December 13 should read the summary of the talk by guest speakers Jason Zeigler of the University of Akron and Steve Ontko of Kent State.  It provided some very valuable insight.  We have posted it under Members' Postings so that everyone can benefit.  There is food for thought and action here.

We have been providing a copy of both the Republican and Democratic Party platforms at our breakfasts.  Links to both are available on our Worthwhile Reads page.  For those interested in party organization, we have also added to Worthwhile Reads the official rules for 2007 for the two largest Republican Party county organizations in the U.S., Orange and Cobb Counties, to join the rules for the Ohio Republican Party which we previously put there.  We will add more good ones when we find them ... or you suggest them.  Happy organizing!

We have added a new page in our Organization Manual for contacting Elected Officials, in response to the request at our December 13 breakfast.  It is very timely, considering the current effort to bailout (i.e. Nationalize?) the Big Three automakers.  This section includes contact information as well as some tips on writing (emails).

We have also posted the meeting notes from our December 11 Education Committee kickoff meeting.

December 10
We took down our message on the Home Page about our Education Committee kickoff meeting because we held it earlier tonight.  Now we want to highlight our upcoming breakfast on Saturday, and welcome in advance the people from other counties that have expressed the intent of coming.  Also, looking at our site reports we note that some people are not looking at this What's New? page first thing whenever they come to our site.  You should.  It's how we save you the trouble of trying to page through the whole site and determining what has been changed; you find a log of all changes and some background information on the changes, right here.  Please return soon for the minutes of our first Education Committee meeting.

December 7
We've added a new category Minority Outreach to our Links page, and added the first link there; Machosauceproductions which we've been looking at for some time now.  It is a little rough for some people, but we think this fellow is highly effective in explaining conservatism to people who still live in the "Hood".

We have discovered a daily state and federal political update from the Columbus Dispatch and have added the Columbus Dispatch Daily Briefing to our Links.  We discovered it while checking for the latest news on the investigation of the politically motivated invasion of "Joe the Plumber's privacy, which clipping is here.  House bill 648 has been introduced to ensure that future violations of privacy are punished by more than a wrist slapping.  We question whether new legislation is needed; we think an attorney general with the integrity to investigate and prosecute members of their own party is necessary and sufficient to ensure honesty in government.

Also, we've heard much of the conservative "Blue Dog" democrats that the democrats have recruited in order to achieve a majority in the House of Representatives.  We were dubious as to whether or not they could stand behind their conservative principles in the fact of concerted opposition of Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her liberal orcs, but they have organized themselves as a conservative faction and are strong enough to unite with conservative Republicans and thwart bad legislation.  It is good to discover allies.  We have added the Blue Dog democrat coalition to our link page or you can check them out here

By the way, if there is anything that unites us right now it is probably this completely avoidable economic crisis.  Here's a blog that speaks to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson's role in it, and a recommendation.  Read it here.

Last but not least, we have added to our Organizational Manual a link to the bestsearch engine of elected officials we have found, which covers the national, state and local level.  Plus some tips on how to sway their votes.  Not surprising, it is from the NRA.

December 4
We've been getting a lot of interest lately from people outside Medina County, as well as within.  We have added the Get Connected page and put it up top on the Home page to make it easier to get new people on our distribution list.  You never know when we will need to mobilize the conservative grassroots, while Congress is routinely throwing tens of billions of dollars down a rat hole.  Of the $400 billion of the $750 billion emergency (THE SKY IS FALLING AND WE MUST ACT IMMEDIATELY) bailout, also known as the Troubled Assets Relief Program, not one red cent has been spend to do what this bailout was supposed to do.  Now, months later, the sky has not fallen, our economy is in the tailspin TARP was supposed to prevent, and there are a lot of people who made big money scooping taxpayers' dollars up off the TARP table.

We've added a couple of County Republican events to our announcements.

The agenda has been emailed to people who have stated an interest in attending the kickoff meeting of the Education Committee next Wednesday.  If you want to be involved in this, let us know so that we can send you a copy of the agenda.

December 1
We have added an interesting article from PajamasMedia called How the GOP Can Take Back the Youth Vote.  It appears to be a timely topic for our upcoming kickoff of the Education committee, as well as for strengthening our grassroots organizing of young conservatives.  We will also be adding them to our Links as a source of news/information because of their motto, "Sending the MSM Down the River…"  Sounds good to us.

Speaking of good stuff, we're looking at a lot of good stuff put together by Chris Booker on Team Sarah in the group Palin's Garden.  She was impressed by our website as well.  We look forward to collaborating with her.

November 28
We have added the Congressional, state senate and house district maps to our Organizational Manual, as well as the Apportionment description.  We have sent out an email to the full distro about our Education Committee kickoff meeting on December 10, will be sending out an agenda to those who express an intent to attend.  It will be challenging to get something going for January in spite of the holidays, but if there is the will we will find the way.

We also have an outstanding new Worthwhile Read about Reagan in 1961.

November 25
We have scheduled the kickoff meeting for Education Committee meeting at Panera Bread in Medina, for Wednesday December 10 at 7 p.m.  See the map on the Maps page.

In addition Obama's selections for the new administration reminds us of our first impressions of him.  Read it here.

November 24
We have added a summary of John Kotter's ideas on how to implement large scale change to our Organizational Manual.  He is the world's foremost authority on leadership and change.  It's about winning hearts ... and then minds.  It is an important read for advocates.

November 23
We have added some links appropriate to high school and college aged conservatives and put them first on our link page.  If a chapter exists, it is good to get connected.  If none exists, it is good for young people to create one; it causes quick recognition of who you are and what you're trying to do, and acts as a magnet for other conservatives.

November 20
We are interested in helping to expand the conservative grassroots effort beyond Medina County.  Accordingly, we've created an Organizational Manual "directory" and within it, documented the entire process of putting on the Saturday morning breakfasts.  That will enable other counties to build their own Friends and Neighbors (or equivalent) organization.  No RINO's allowed.

November 19
We've added 2 more links.  One is to Richard Viguerie's new site, Conservative HQ.  Viguerie was the fellow who "invented" direct mail fundraising for conservatives back in the 80's, and has been a conservative movement giant ever since.  The Obama campaign essentially applied his techniques to the internet, with about the same equivalent effect on older fundraising techniques that Viguerie had back when.  I have invited him to create a new one week campaign management course for conservatives similar to (but up to date) the one he and several other conservative leaders put on under through the National Conservative Political Action Committee (NCPAC) after Reagan lost in 1976.

Another link to the Coalition for a Conservative Majority.  It was founded by Tom DeLay who is still fighting legal battles with an out of control and super-partisan Democrat District Attorney who essentially torpedoes this Republican Leader and put him out of action on trumped-up charges.  It is a new tool in the toolbox of Democrats who find it easier to fight guerrilla warfare in politicized courts rather than in the political arena.  The other co-founder is Ken Blackwell, opposed by the Taft faction in Ohio in the primaries (he was the one guy in their administration who wouldn't abide their corruption) and then turned their backs on in the general election when he ran for Governor in Ohio in 2006.  Never depend on RINO's to support a conservative!  Either or both of these organizations may achieve liftoff; we'll just have to see.

Another link is to John Boehner's ideas on economic reform.  Boehner is the leader of those brave House Republicans who temporarily stopped the $750 billion bailout, and with 20-20 hindsight they were right.  It has become a $750 billion raid on the income of taxpayers, a veritable feeding frenzy with the money being spent in almost every imaginable way except in the ways we absolutely, positively had to do in order to avoid economic crisis.  We've added it under Press Releases but also have it here.

November 18
We have added three new links to our Links page.  The American Legislative Exchange Council is a conservative think tank that comes up with legislative proposals for state governments, with solid studies backing them.  New conservative legislators rely heavily upon this organization, especially at the state level.  Similar is the State Policy Network of pro-free enterprise public policy organizations, including the Buckeye Institute for Public Policy Solutions.  These are all three both good sources for educational reform ideas.

November 17
We have added a page for maps to locations of interest.  We couldn't figure out a way to put a decent map the the Golden Corral on our flyers (or to the Victory Center), we we are snagging Google maps and making them available on our website.

Also, from the Team Sarah website we snagged a copy of the Homeschooler's video and put a link to it on our front page.  It may take a while to load the first time you see it, but it rocks.

We spent some time this weekend handing out flyers at the Medina County gunshow, reminding sportsmen that if we don't protect our First Amendment we may need to exercise our Second Amendment.  We have added to our Worthwhile Reads the Justice Department case that the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is an individual right, since agreed upon by the U.S. Supreme Court.

November 16
Susan Hambley, Brunswick City Councilwoman and wife of County Commissioner Steve Hambley passed away last Wednesday.  We have had the pleasure of talking with her many times, and will miss her.  In spite of suffering from muscular distrophy since childhood, she was very involved in local politics and charities, and made a difference.  Our sympathies to her family, and our applause to her.  Well done, Susan.

Yours truly has switched to Townhall as the host for my blog posts.  I couldn't get the Microsoft Spaces to work properly.  The new link appears to work well, and if you are interested in posting blogs for the membership either let Jim or Lisa know so that we can include you as an author for the Medina County Friends and Neighbor blog on Townhall, or feel free to create your own.

In the past week we have connected with a number of other websites to build the conservative grassroots network.  The one that seems to be the most energized at this time seems to be Team Sarah.  We have created a group on Team Sarah called Medina County Friends and Neighbors and are getting a lot of interest from other people around the country, as well as some new "members" from our area.  Check out Team Sarah and if you are interested, join it and the Medina County Friends and Neighbors group.

We are absolutely delighted by the way Sarah Palin confronted head on the character assassination that was attempted by the mainstream media with the possible collusion of "anonymous" RINO's.  By doing that she not only salvaged her reputation but totally eclipsed John McCain as the Voice of our party, as well as of our conservative majority.  You go, girl.

November 12
Sarah Palin has been all over the news in the last couple of days; the interview with Greta Van Susteran, two interviews with CNN News, an interview on Larry King live.  She is dealing head-on with the character assassination the mainstream media tried to subject her to in the last month of the election, and showing America how grotesquely they distorted her in their propaganda shows.
Great.  She is cleaning up their mess before it hardens in the minds of the disinformed.  And in the process, even as John McCain fades back into the background of the Senate, she has taken the stage as the primary spokesman of conservatism in America.  Bold colors.  Core values.  Undaunted optimism.  Reagan would have been proud.

We haven't been able to find an acceptable substitute for the Golden Corral for our Saturday morning breakfasts, so rather than keep everyone in suspence we're reserving it again for our next two meetings.  We have people handing out fliers to invite new people, so we need to be able to tell them where to come.

November 11
We have added a number of new links to our Links page.  One is the GOP Trust PAC, an independent conservative PAC that is involved in the continuing election battle to fill two more U.S. Senate seats with Republicans.  The one is involved in a recount, the other will require a runoff election.  Click on the link to find out more, and perhaps to provide your support.

In addition we have linked Grassfire, the National Federation of Republican Assemblies (aka, the Republican wing of the Republican party!), and the Rhose Island Republican Assembly.  Last but certainly not least, we have linked to Team Sarah, which appears to be a particularly well done grassroots site.

November 9
We have changed the theme by dropping the McCain / Palin campaign from our theme, and gone back to basic organizing of grass roots strength to preserve the basic values and beliefs shared by the overwhelming majority of Americans.  We remain committed to conservative leaders like Sarah Palin and will be ready to defend them from the character assassination the left will use to cut them down before 2012, just as they did George Allen and Tom DeLay in the recent past.

We have several new Links and Posts from our Friends and Neighbors, including reflections on Why the Election was Lost, much of which was presented in our breakfast on November 8.

Please be sure to fill out our Volunteer Interest Form and email it to lisawoods@mcfan.org if you are interested in performing a more active role.

October 27
We have several new Posts from our Friends and Neighbors on that page.  Check it out.  We still need more volunteer slots filled.  Call Gail at 614-456-2040 if you are taking the day off on November 4 and are willing to be an Election Monitor in Cuyahoga, Summit or Stark County.

October 22
We have added a couple of items from Orson Scott Card to our Worthwhile Reads, one about the legislating Judiciary and the other about the biased media.  Mr. Card is a lifetime Democrat who still believes in democracy.

October 20
We have updated the announcements section and our home page to reflect Palin's next rally nearby.

October 16
The workshops we wanted to conduct before the Campaign Blitz on Saturday are completed.  We will do these again if and when needed.

Two new rally's are in our announcements for McCain in Toledo and Westerville this Sunday.  We are green with envy at two of our people who went to St. Clairsville last Sunday to see Palin ... and she autographed their T-Shirts!  It couldn't have happened to a better couple than our Guest Speaker at our breakfast just the day before, Dane Hershberger and his wife Rayna.  Wow!

Campaign Blitz this Saturday.  This is the 3rd to the last Saturday before the election.  I'm planning to work at least 6 hours.  How about you?  Plenty of time to rest in November.

October 13
By popular request we will be conducting two training workshops this week on volunteer door-to-door campaigning.  We will then pair up and work a McCain / Palin route.  See announcements.

October 12
We have added a page for Press Releases and Posts from our Friends and Neighbors to share contributions that have come from our supporters.  Check it out.  Also, we have added links to the website of candidates.  Please be sure to check out Mario Russica, who gave a great presentation to last Saturday's breakfast and was enthusiastically received by our friends and neighbors.  The video on his website is impressive and compelling.

Also, all of you should be on the McCain / Palin website list so that you get important announcements without relying upon us as a middleman.  The opportunities for volunteer work directly from the McCain / Palin website are impressive.  You can work call lists or poll neighborhoods from your own home base, which diminishes the logistical dependency upon your nearest "Victory Center".

Last but not least, Dane Hershberger offered at our first breakfast to be a guest speaker at our second breakfast.  His argument was that we want to hear from our own friends and neighbors, not just the elected officials and candidates.  That made sense to us, so we agreed.  And he delivered a great speech, A Conservative Call to Action.  By popular request we are making it available here.  Enjoy his insights and words of encouragement.

We have also added a copy of the Rules of the Ohio Republican Party.

October 11
Again, we had tremendous participation from the people at our breakfast.  We have collated the list of suggestions we invited today, and have posted it on our site.  It was suggested at this morning's breakfast that we post a copy of the 2008 Republican Party Platform on our website.  So we have added it to our Worthwhile reads.  We also took the liberty of adding copies of the simple, one page version of conservative principles; the Sharon Statement, and for comparison the list of wants passed as the 2008 Democratic Party Platform.

October 9
We are informed that the Medina GOP headquarters is out of yard signs.  At this time we don't know if and when additional supplies are anticipated.  If Prime Signs comes through with our T-Shirts in time for Saturday's breakfast, we may pose the question as to whether or not our group would like to make a bulk purchase of yard signs, additional T-shirts or whatever else so that we can continue building momentum in this way.

October 8
We were there.  It was awesome.  Sarah Palin can compete with Obama in drawing crowds, and she doesn't need to follow a free concert from a major rock 'n' roll band with free beer to do it.  Every speech is like hearing Reagan again.

We have added a couple of new links to organizations that are showing important ads on TV; one about Supreme Court nominations, another about Obama's votes for Infanticide.  Unfortunately, we haven't been able to catch the URL on the latter.  Let us know if you get it before we do.

We updated our announcements as well.

October 7

We've added three links, two that McCain mentioned in the Town hall and one (House Republican Leader website) recommended by one of our group.  Let us know if you are familiar with an organization we need to establish a relationship with, or a website that we need to share with everyone.  Thanks!

October 5

Please see updated announcement - McCain & Palin in Strongville, Wednesday, Oct 8.

October 4

Busy weekend, especially due to the surprise visit by Rudy Giuliani to several of the rural counties in Northeast Ohio.  His comments were brief but to the point.  The media is trying to do all it can to make us believe that Obama is ahead and that our efforts to win will be futile.  We need to call the media on this one, and make them eat their words.  We can only do that by getting out the vote, beginning now.  We need to get out the yard signs, slap on the bumper stickers, talk to everyone we know and swing those independents and conservative democrats over to our side.  If we don't do it in the next 30 days, then there will be an even greater challenge during the next 2-4 years or more to protect our freedoms and our way of life.

Let us know how you can help out, and we will help you find where you can make a difference.

October 3

We ordered 48 McCain / Palin T-Shirts and hope to sell them at cost ($10 apiece) at our next breakfast.

October 1

We have finally received our first order of bumper stickers.  See announcements.

September 28

Today we thanked the attendees of our first Breakfast for coming, and made sure that they all got the word that the McCain / Palin yard signs had arrived at the Medina County Republican Headquarters.

We also updated our flyers announcing the additional breakfasts on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, through November 8.

I have also added under Worthwhile Reads, links to two of my favorite Reagan speeches, where he declares the Soviet Union to be an "Evil Empire" and demands that Gorbachev "Tear Down This Wall".

September 27

Today we held our first breakfast to support McCain / Palin.  In spite of a number of schedule conflicts, over thirty people attended.  By unanimous agreement, those who came wanted us to organize these breakfasts to continue at two week intervals.  Accordingly, we have already booked October 11 as our next breakfast with the Golden Corral and with the McCain / Palin campaign, and have changed our home page to reflect our next breakfast date.  We appreciate State Representative Bill Batchelder for being our guest speaker.  Dave Potter, candidate for U.S. Congress in the 13th district and State Representative Bob Gibbs who is running for State Senate District 22, also spoke briefly about their campaigns.

We have also added some important announcements.  The most important one is that the McCain / Palin yard signs arrived this morning at the Medina County Republican Headquarters.  All systems are "go" for the big Republican yard sign day on October 4.

September 25

Tonight we added Zell Miller's speech to the 2004 Republican National Convention.  Zell was born and will die a Democrat, the kind of Democrat that made my family loyal Democrats up until Ronald Reagan.  The kind of Democrat that Ronald Reagan would have understood, welcomed, and worked with as partners.

September 23

We have added a page of links that will help visitors identify other forums, sources of information and organizations that may be of interest.

September 22

State Representative Bill Batchelder has agreed to be the Guest Speaker to our first breakfast on Saturday, September 27.  Bill is very highly regarded by almost everyone we know, for his right-minded political leadership as well as for his neighborly but always highly informative speeches.  If you haven't heard Bill speak before, come prepared for a treat.  Bill is a contender to become Ohio's Speaker of the House, and we're rooting for him.
